LIFE eProposal CONCEPT NOTE TEMPLATE FOR 2019 LIFE APPLICATIONS It is important to note that this is JNCC’s concept note template. It has been structured to align with the LIFE programme’s concept note, as found in eProposal, and, which is the required format for LIFE Environment projects submitted within the 2019 Call. Please note that we will only pre-screen the fields marked with a “*”, the other fields have been included for your information only . NB. LIFE Climate projects will follow the 2018 application process, i.e. submit the full proposal on 12 September 2019. They are NOT required to submit a concept note in the 2019 Call. However, use of this template will support formulation of your project idea before moving to full proposal. This concept note is designed to help applicants compose a basic project structure for an EU LIFE application, whether as a concept note for submission under the Environment sub-programme, or in preparing a full proposal under the Climate Action sub-programme. It is the first stage in writing a LIFE application and helps frame the context of the project. It should be as quantifiable and specific as possible. The concept note can help you identify partners depending on the desired outcomes, scope, cost and duration of the project. The concept note not only helps you frame your thinking but can also assists us in evaluating the eligibility of your proposal or point you towards a more suitable funding programme. You can also use this to share with potential partners and to support other pieces of work such as compiling an internal business case etc. Before filling in the form it is essential to read the: LIFE Multi-Annual Work Programme for 2018- 2020 2019 Call for proposals for Traditional projects Please also see our Guidance document which should help you with filling in this concept note. Concept notes can be submitted at any time but by 17 June 2019 at the latest for Environment projects to the UK’s National Contact Point for LIFE funding at [email protected] or for more LIFE information visit JNCC.defra.gov.uk/UKLIFE .
