Elizabeth Dowdeswell, Lieutenant Governor of Ontario, will conduct an official visit to Kitchener on Wednesday, December 16, 2015. The visit is part of Her Honour’s continued program of travel to communities across the province.

9-11 a.m. – Visit to Kitchener City Hall 200 King Street West, Kitchener Following a courtesy call with Mayor Berry Vrbanovic, the Lieutenant Governor will meet with city staff and local leaders to learn about the initiatives relating to innovation, environmental sustainability, neighbourhoods, climate change, and the welcoming of Syrian refugees. Her Honour will then deliver brief remarks during a reception. Closed to media 1-4 p.m. – Interfaith gathering at the Islamic Humanitarian Service 81 Hollinger Crescent, Kitchener The Lieutenant Governor will address the 11th annual interfaith gathering held by the Islamic Humanitarian Service, a faith-based charitable community centre providing spiritual, educational, and social services.
