LIEUTENANT COLONEL ALDEIY ALDERSON ROYAL MARINES COMMANDING OFFICER COMMANDO LOGISTIC REGIMENT ROYAL MARINES Aldeiy Alderson joined the Royal Marines in 1996 and has served across the Corps and other Services. Following Young Officer training in 1997 he served as a Troop Commander in Comacchio Group, 42 Cdo, 40 Cdo and at CTCRM. These roles included guarding tasks, patrolling South Armagh, being an Intelligence Officer in West Belfast and training both Recruits and Officers. The highlight of this initial period was returning to 42 Cdo as OC Equipment Support Troop during Operation TELIC 1. After attending staff college and promoting to Major in 2005 he served as an Adjutant in 45 Cdo, briefly in NPT(RM) and then with the Royal Navy FOST team in Plymouth as an Amphibious Warfare staff officer. After a UN posting as the MA to the Divisional Chief of Staff in Darfur he served as Chief of Staff 101 Logistic Brigade from 2008-10, including an Op HERRICK 11 tour with JFSp(A) in Camp Bastion, Afghanistan. He then returned to 40 Cdo as the Unit 2IC in Sangin for Op HERRICK 12 and from 2012 served as SO1 RMR in NCHQ. He attended Australian Staff College in 2014 before being appointed as the Corps Drafting Officer to lead the Royal Marine Career Managers. He served as DCOS of 3 Cdo Bde RM from Jan 2017 before taking command of the Commando Logistic Regiment in Mar 2018. He has a keen interest in reading, military logistics and personnel management and is currently undertaking a part-time Masters in Human Reources Management with Plymouth University. A good day at work involves whiteboarding a solution, enabling a subordinate’s ideas and linking a team member to the job they want. A good phys session looks like being beaten (just) at squash or running a good distance over rough ground.

COMMANDING OFFICER COMMANDO LOGISTIC REGIMENT ROYAL MARINES

Aldeiy Alderson joined the Royal Marines in 1996 and has served across the Corps and
