ANGEL FOOD CAKE

1 Cup Flour

¾ Cup Sugar

1½ Cups Egg whites

1½ Tsp. Cream of Tartar

¼ Tsp. Salt

1½ Tsp. Vanilla

Sift flour and sugar four times. Beat egg

white mixture until stiff enough to hold soft

peaks but still moist and glossy. Fold flour

and sugar mixture gently into egg whites.

Bake in an un-greased 10 inch round tube

pan at 375 degrees for 35-40 minutes.

When cake is done turn pan upside down

over plate to cool.

Thanks to Raelan Wright for spending time to

organize this great party for her senior project.

All the residents had a blast and talked about it

for days. Also, thanks to all the families who

came and cut a rug!

Nancy Key was born on April 14, 1936. She

grew up in Lingo, NM and moved to Morton

in 5th Grade. In May 1954 Nancy married

her husband Robbie. Robbie and Nancy had

4 kids: Larry, Schell, Kevin, and Kimberly

Jan. She was a babysitter and a librarian

in Morton. Her daughter, Schell passed

away at 32 years old. Robbie passed away

in December 2002. After her husband passed away, she moved to

Slaton to be closer to her family. Nancy is the proud grandmother

of eight wonderful grandchildren. Nancy enjoys crocheting,

embroidery, ceramics, cooking, playing on the computer and

watching T.V. She is a member of the Methodist Church in

Slaton. Nancy was one of the first three residents to move into

Library of Legacies in 2009. Nancy’s favorite part about Library

of Legacies is getting to visit with her friends. Nancy serves as

our “Secretary and Official Greeter” she often states that “we

need to put her on our payroll.” Nancy is a joy to have in our

home and is loved by all. Keep Nancy in your prayers as she

undergoes knee surgery in May.
