“Now the works of the flesh are evident… those who practice such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.”
from Galatians 5:19-21 Prelude Welcome and Announcements Ministry Minute The PCA General Assembly
Pastor Nick Silent Prayer of Preparation Call to Worship Psalm 98:4-6 *Psalm of Adoration Psalm 98 #15 *Invocation Confession of Sin Lord God, eternal and almighty Father! We acknowledge before Your holy majesty that we are poor sinners, conceived and born in guilt and in corruption, prone to do evil, unable of our own power to do good. Because of our sin, we endlessly violate Your holy commandments. But, O Lord, with heartfelt sorrow we repent and turn away from all our offenses. We condemn our evil ways, with true sorrow asking that Your grace will relieve our distress. Have compassion on us, most gracious God, Father of mercies, for the sake of Your Son Jesus Christ our Lord. And in removing our guilt, also grant us daily increase of the grace of Your Holy Spirit, and produce in us the fruits of holiness and of righteousness pleasing in Your sight, through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen. (Adapted from John Calvin's Geneva Liturgy of 1543)
Assurance of Pardon Psalm 32:5 *Songs of Praise
My Hope Is In You Aaron Shust
Verse 1 I meet with You and my soul sings out As your word throws doubt far away
I sing to You and my heart cries "Holy! Hallelujah, Father, You're near!"
Chorus My hope is in You, Lord All the day long,
I won't be shaken by drought or storm A peace that passes understanding is my song
And I sing my hope is in You, Lord
Verse 2 I wait for You and my soul finds rest
In my selfishness, You show me grace I worship You and my heart cries "Glory
Hallelujah, Father, You're here!" (chorus)
Bridge
I will wait on You You are my refuge I will wait on You You are my refuge
Chorus 2
My hope is in You, Lord, all the day long I won't be shaken by drought or storm
My hope is in You, Lord All the day long I won't be shaken by drought or storm
A peace that passes understanding is my song
And I sing my hope is in You, Lord My hope is in You, Lord My hope is in You, Lord
Come Thou Fount of Every Blessing
Come Thou fount of ev'ry blessing Tune my heart to sing Thy grace Streams of mercy never ceasing Call for songs of loudest praise
Teach me some melodious sonnet Sung by flaming tongues above
Praise the mount I'm fixed upon it Mount of Thy redeeming love
Here I raise mine Ebenezer
Hither by Thy help I'm come And I hope by Thy good pleasure
Safely to arrive at home Jesus sought me when a stranger Wand'ring from the fold of God
He to rescue me from danger Interposed His precious blood
O to grace how great a debtor Daily I'm constrained to be
Let Thy grace, Lord like a fetter Bind my wand'ring heart to Thee
Prone to wander Lord I feel it Prone to leave the God I love
Here's my heart Lord take and seal it Seal it for Thy courts above
Prone to wander Lord I feel it Prone to leave the God I love
Here's my heart Lord take and seal it Seal it for Thy courts above

Christ alone Cornerstone Weak made strong in the Saviour’s love
Through the storm He is Lord, Lord of all (2nd time-repeat)
Verse 2
When darkness seems to hide His face I rest on His unchanging grace In ev’ry high and stormy gale
My anchor holds within the veil My anchor holds within the veil!

Sunday Evening Worship Tonight Join us for a special evening worship service this evening with our daughter church, Faith Christian Fellowship who will be leading us in Praise and Worship. The service starts at 6 PM followed by a catered picnic in the picnic grove (if the weather is bad we will eat indoors). Please bring a beverage and/or a baked good or fruit for dessert. You may also make a donation to offset the cost of the meal. Sports equipment is also welcome. A nursery will be provided during the service.
Focus on Missions Bruce and Susan Young/MTW/Japan Bruce’s journey with MTW began 45 years ago and the time has been a tremendous blessing. Please pray for them as they are at the World RE-Connect and Summer Conference this week. During the conference, missionaries on home assignment are preparing for the responsibility to report to their home churches and supporters. They will have the opportunity to reflect on their time overseas and also become familiar with changes during their absence. There will also be time for fellowship and worship with other missionary families. Please pray also for Bruce’s book writing project for Japanese Christians.
From the Pastors Pastor Russ and Donna plan to attend a family reunion in Salvo, NC on July 15-22. Pastor Barry is scheduled to preach on the 16th, and Pastor Nick on the 23rd.
Children’s Sunday School Noah's Ark is under the instruction of Beth and Jessica Wheatley. The 3-4 year-olds are with Ruth Ambrose and Sabrina Thomas in July and August. K-5th is being taught by Dianna Cote. Any volunteers that could provide breaks for the Summer School teachers by being included on our substitute teacher list would still be appreciated. They can email Shawn Huey at [email protected], see me after church, or call me at home (410-552-1054).
Reisterstown/Owings Mills Small Group Reisterstown/Owings Mills Small group will be meeting at Geof & Lynn Smith’s house on July, the 14th, 7:30PM. They will continue to explore the riches of Genesis - Chapter 3 this time. So read ahead and bring your insights and a refreshment. They will have a cookout in August at the Fuhrers. So mark your calendar for August 11th.
Randallstown Small Group The Randallstown Small Group Outside/in Picnic will be July 16th right after the worship service in Fellowship Hall.
Liberty Christian School LCS has two openings for teachers for the 2017/2018 school year. One is for a full-time middle school Math teacher and the other is for a full-time 5th grade teacher. The job postings are on the bulletin board downstairs.
Men’s Ministry Baltimore Rescue Mission – Men of Liberty, you are invited this coming Saturday July 15th at 7pm for Liberty’s monthly outreach to the Baltimore Rescue Mission. This men's ministry allows us to connect with each other and advance God’s kingdom in a worship service of prayer, reading Scripture, singing hymns, and sharing short messages. As always, transportation will be provided...and no pressure is applied because no one needs to speak unless he chooses to do so. This is a great way to spend 3 hours on a mid-July Saturday night! For more information, please contact Jeff Watkins at 410.402.0250 or [email protected].
A New Picture Directory is coming to Liberty Pictures will be taken Wednesday, July 12 and Thursday, July 13. Each family who participates will receive a free portrait and an opportunity to purchase other pictures. If you tell the photographer you only want the directory photo you will not be pressured to buy anything. Sign up today. If you would like to submit your own photo for the directory, there is a $10 charge. If you would like to help with the directory please call Mary Jordan at 410-486-0244.
Request from the Deacons The Deacons encourage Carroll County residents to donate one or both of your landfill coupons that came with your property tax bill this month. The coupons offset dump fees for LCS and the church. Please put them in a marked envelope that can be given to any deacon, usher or left in the church office. Thank You!
You are invited Becky Hancock & Steven Vega request the honor of your presence at the celebration of their wedding Saturday, July 15th at 3:00 p.m. at Liberty Church, PCA.
New Young Adult Group We invite young adults who have graduated high school to join us monthly for a night of worship and fellowship. Our goal is that growing out of this ministry Christian young adults in the area would be challenged to advance into intimate prayer, bible study, evangelism, and service together. We'll be meeting at the Cote's at 7pm on July 22nd. (Come at 6pm to swim if you want.)
Job Announcement The Financial Management Committee is currently seeking those who may be interested in becoming the new church Treasurer. This is a part-time, paid position with specific job requirements. Please contact Brian Moran if interested. Brian’s phone number is on the back of the bulletin and in the directory.
Volunteer Opportunities Volunteers Needed for Counting Teams Volunteers for the counting teams are needed. Counting team members are on duty for one month, then off for 2 or 3. Counting the offering usually takes an hour or more. Depending on the team, it may be done immediately after worship, or early that week. Please contact Brian Moran if you are interested.
Ministry Opportunity Faith Christian Fellowship has invited us to participate in a Summer two day work project helping to fix up church members homes in the Pen Lucy area of Baltimore. These folks badly need repairs to their homes which they cannot afford. The church helps them out, being the hands of Christ in a visible, practical way which blesses the whole community. The work days are Friday, July 28—8 am-5 pm and Saturday, July 29th– 8:00 am—7 pm. They would love it if we could come both days but if you could only do one that will be fine too. They can use ANYONE even though some jobs will require certain skills ; anyone can participate, including teens. No cost involved except your time and energy. They are looking for about 10 to 20 people. Please let Pastor Barry know if you are interested and available. You can email him at [email protected]
Vacation Bible School We will be partnering with St. Stephens Church for VBS this year. They will be decorating on Saturday, July 8th and could use some help. Watch the bulletin for more details. People can also help by saving brown grocery bags to use for decorating. It would also be helpful if they just wanted to turn the bags inside out (this naturally wrinkles them) and then tape them shut to look like rocks. Donations of bags should be left in Pastor Nick’s office.
