Abstract:Urdu literary Criticism is at present sufferingfrom a multiplicity of terms. Urdu critics are usingterms without any considerations for theirdenotations and connotations. Most of them evendo not bother to define these terms before usingthem, thus creating anarchy of percepts, thoughts,ideas and concepts. Mostly these terms aretranslated from English without any considerationfor their appropriateness or etymology. Dr. Ashrafin this paper reviews this situation and offerssome remedies.
