Hi, I'm Huw and I'm Treasurer of the LGBT Committee. I'm responsible for keeping the Commit-­tee accounts up to date and submitting budget applications. When I'm not filling in forms I am doing a PhD in Physics/Maths relating to renewable energy. In my spare time I enjoy reading, cycling, tabletop roleplaying (the geeky kind of roleplaying), drawing, vegan cooking/baking , and sitting around in the LGBT Lounge. But not all at once.If you have a suggestion for something that may require use the budget find me in the Lounge, or come along to a Committee meeting where you can discuss it with all of us.

Hi, I'm Laura, the Inclusions Officer, I work with the rest of the committee to try to ensure that it is as easy as possible for LGBT students to get involved. I am a third year English Literature and History student. I like meeting new people, going out with my friends and drinking tea. LGBT is not a society, its a working committee that is open to everyone. So if you would like to get more involved, even if you have never been involved before, please don't hesitate to get in touch!

My name is Jimmy and I’m the LGBT Men’s Welfare Officer and am primarily here for gay and bisexual men to have someone to talk to. However, I’m also here for anyone who feels more comfortable talking to a man. As well as being the current Men’s Welfare Officer, I’m also a Japanese Studies student. After finishing off my homework in the IC, I walk home listening to my favourite Japanese band, fall asleep watching a Japanese drama…or Eastenders. My other love is Sherlock Holmes, and liked it way before it was cool to (in a non-­hipsterish-­way). If you ever need anybody to talk to, I am here for you6

Hi, I'm Emma and I'm Chair of the LGBT Committee. I'm responsible for moderating committee meetings, developing agendas with the rest of committee and all the rest of the admin stuff. I play guitar and bass and spend much of my free time messing around with instruments and recording software in the hope that one day my rock star ambitions will be fulfilled. In the (unlikely) event of this not transpiring and having to have a normal career, I'm currently in the fourth year of a Civil Engineering course. So if you want interesting facts about soil you know who to ask!

SECRETARY -­ Cez lgbt@shef.ac.uk Hello! I’m Cez, committee secretary. Training to be a speech and language therapist – communication is my thing. I write weekly update and I deal with the e-­mails and post. I write up minutes from each committee meeting and keep committee organised. As well as reply-­ing to e-­mails, I enjoy cooking (and eating) tasty vegetarian food;; improving my poor crick-­eting skills;; watching student theatre and adding to my growing collection of green hats. Oh and chatting, I like to do that a lot – so come say hello in the lounge or on a social!

Hi, I’m Emma and I’m a third year Speech Science student. As Women’s Welfare Officer, I’m here to offer support on a whole range of issues, from deal-­ing with coming out to mental health and wellbeing. I drink so much tea that I have to buy it by the sack load and I am very strongly of the belief that there’s not much that cannot be made better with a sit down and a brew.
