How to insert batteries

1. Remove the cover from the back of theremote controller.

• Slide the cover according to the arrowdirection.

2. Insert two batteries.

• Be sure that the (+) and (-) directions arecorrect.

• Be sure that both batteries are new.

3. Re-attach the cover.

• Slide the cover into back position.

• Do not use rechargeable batteriessuch batteries as different from

standard dry cells in shape,dimensions, and performance.

• Change the batteries with a newone if the remote control does not

work properly after using for anextended length of time.

During the TURBO-Z function at any moment, the A!C starts to blow the cool air at extremely highspeed setting the room temp. automatically to 65°F. It is especially used to cool the room. in theshortest time in a hot summer.

In heat pump mode or neuro fuzzy mode however, the TURBO-Z function is not available.

Setting the Time

O imecan be set only when you have pressedthe Reset button. If you have just replaced thebatteries, the Reset button should be pressedto reset the time.

Press the Start/Stop button.

CAUTION: Before performing any maintenance, turn off the main power to the system.

Removethe Air Filter.Take hold of the tab and pull slightlyforward to remove the filter.

Clean.• To remove the dust adhering to thefilters, either use a vacunm cleaner, orwash them in water and dry in theshade.

• Re-insert the filter to the originalposition.

• Don't wash with water.

• Wipe with a soft dry cloth.

Operate the air conditioner at thefollowing settings for 2 to 3 hours.• Type of operation • Cooling.• Temperature setting : 86°F.

This will dry out the internal mechanisms.Remove the batteries from the RemoteControl.

Turn off the circuit breaker.

Clean the air filters, re-insert, thenoperate the air conditioner.

Be sure that nothing obstructs the airoutlet and intake vents.

Avoidopeningdoorsand windowsas muchas possibleto keepthecoolair inthe room.

Do not letdirectsunshineentertheroomwhenthe air conditioneris in

operation.

Blockagesin the air filter reducetheairflowand lowercoolinganddehumidifyingeffects.Cleanat leastonceeverytwo weeks.

Adjusttheverticaland horizontalairflowdirectionto ensurea uniform

temperatureinthe room.

Air conditioner does notoperate for about 3 minuteswhen restarted.

Does not cool effectively.

• Haveyou made a mistake in timer operation?

• Hasthe fuseblown or has the circuit breaker been

tripped?• Is the powerSwitch at Off?• Is the unit at the starting of HeatingOperation?

If yes, Hot-start isactivating.• Is the unit in the Deicing?

If yes, wait for finishing the Deicing.

• Checkthat this is not a damp smell exuded by thewalls, carpet, furniture, or cloth items in the room.

• Condensationoccurs when the airflowfrom the airconditionercools the warmroom air.

• This is the Protection deviceof the air conditioner.

• Wait about three minutes and operationwill begin.• If the airflow begins before its temperaturebecome

warm, it will cause an undesiredcooling effect. Inorderto preventthis, the airflow will not begin untilit is sufficientlywarm.

• Is the air filter dirty? See air filter cleaninginstructions.

• The room mayhave been very hot when the roomair conditionerwas first turned on. Allow time for itto cool down.

• Hasthe temperaturebeen set incorrectly?• Are the indoor unit'sair inlet or outlet vents

obstructed?

• For a noisethat sounds likewater flowing.-This is the sound of freon flowing insidethe airconditioner unit.

• For a noisethat sounds likethe compressedairreleasinginto atmosphere.-This is the sound of the dehumidifyingwater beingprocessed insidethe air conditioningunit.

The air conditioner operationis noisy.
