LG BD670 3D Wireless Network Blu-ray
VS.
Samsung BD-C5500 1080p Blu-ray
5.0 out of 5 stars Best Price, January
15, 2012
Bought this as a gift. They love it and the
price here on Amazon was by far the
best around with fast, free shipping. This
model has the built-in WiFi so you don't
have that pesky dongle sticking out the
front usb port. Great purchase!
1.0 out of 5 stars Worked Great.... for a
year., January 11, 2012
Had this blu ray player for a little over a
year. It was hooked up to my router
through an ethernet cable and
everything worked great. I was able to
stream netflix and pandora with no
problem, until a few days ago...
For no apparent reason it stopped
connecting to the internet, giving me a
"Ping Gateway error".

3.0 out of 5 stars Problems with
Streaming and Wifi Connection,
January 14, 2012
I used to have a BD570 player and was
happy with the disc playing and the two
streaming services I used, Netflix and
MLB.TV. My main complaint was the
incredibly long time needed for software
updates - that was clearly a bug in the
code that handled the download.
1.0 out of 5 stars Poor Performance,
Ridiculous Support, December 29,
2011
I had several DVD players over a
span of years. Even the least
expensive one worked great. This
Samsung model has been my first Blu
ray player.

5.0 out of 5 stars Stand-Up Piece of
Machinery and Great Price!, January
14, 2012
This blu-ray player, right now, as I type
this, is selling on QVC for $254.00, but I
purchased it here on Amazon (Brand
New) for $109.99!!
I've purchased and returned at least 5
blu-ray players in the last few months but
I've finally got a winner with this
LGBD670.
2.0 out of 5 stars Not a high quality
device, December 28, 2011
This device makes you second guess
if your blue ray dvd's are damaged. I
put in the dvd and it says "error
loading". I take it out and put it back in
and then it loads. Sometimes the blue
ray movie will freeze towards the end
so perhaps the device is overheating.
I have about 20 brand new blue rays
and the device has trouble with most
of them.

3.0 out of 5 stars When it hasn't locked
up it is great., January 14, 2012
It is okay. DVD and BD playback is very
good. Load times are acceptable if not
overly fast. Quality is quite good.
The remote is nice. Easy to work with.
Got tossed into a closet as I replaced it
with my logitech.
1.0 out of 5 stars Poor, look elsewhere,
December 26, 2011
Problems playing Blu-ray discs:
1. Extremely slow loading discs.
2. Doesn't always resume playback if
disc stopped - must start from the
beginning and fast forward.
3. Doesn't properly play some Blu-ray
discs such as Midnight in Paris which
had no audio track.
Returning for a Sony or Panasonic.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great 3D BD player,
January 14, 2012
I'm not sure what the negative reviews
are talking about...unless I just got
lucky....but this product works great and
synced with my LG TV remote just fine. I
didn't have to anything to get the
wireless to connect it brought my
network up in 5 seconds. Discs play fine
and the 3D quality is great.
1.0 out of 5 stars DO NOT BUY FOR
NETFLIX, December 25, 2011
The "Netflix" feature is a lie. It doesn't
work, the "Netflix App" says "Not
connected to the Internet" even when
other internet apps (e.g. Pandora) work
just fine. There are C|NET forum posts
about this problem going back almost a
year, with various suggested solutions
(reduce the MTU on your router?!?!?),
none of which work. Samsung does not
acknowledge this as a problem, and
points the finger at Netflix, who points the
finger back at Samsung.
