I am please with the LG TV. It has lived up to the reviews that I look at. I research many TV's before I made this purchase. I hope it continue to perform well in the long run. Only time will tell.

This is a beautiful TV, the super thin bezel design is the best on the market and has a definite luxurious look and feel. The body is remarkably light and easy to set up. After spending a few hours tweaking, I am very happy with the picture quality. That said, this is a TV that does require a little fine tuning to optimize performance (but most if not all TVs are like this nowadays).

Easy to use. Great picture quality. Very happy with this purchase. I had some concern about viewing angle after reading about LCD TVs since our family room is set up with viewing from both sides.

And then Hdmi..took me awhile to figure that out... 55" LCD is incredible.. And huge. Colors and picture is just amazing! Even got the Optic audio out to work with my Big sound Denon.. Otherwise you will need a converter for optical to RCA

At the time of this writing, the Samsung D8000 series is simply THE BEST. Read the details in other reviews. My only complaint is the terrible documentation, and poor phone help.

Overall I'm pleased with my purchase. The picture looks terrific. However, when the screen is supposed to be all black we typically see backlight shining through -- usually in the upper left area. Under normal movie viewing, you don't notice it -- but presumably videos would look better with blacker black.

When a power surge finally killed off our prior television, I was not dismayed, as I had been studying the LED models for a couple of years. I had done quite a bit of research about a year ago when I needed a new monitor, and was impressed by the quality and expertise of Samsung.

I haven't used LG TV from the Goldstar era of the 80's... but boy~ have thing ever changed since then! From the unboxing, the installation was simple enough and light enough to carry myself to mount it.

If you do a little research online you can find the answer to a lot of your viewing issues you may face using this Tv. The look of this Tv is 2nd to none! almost zero bezel and razor thin, it hangs like a painting on my wall!
