Leyton Sports Ground has been used for cricket since the 19th century and was home to Essex County Cricket Club 1886-1933. In 2019, the existing sports hall reopened as an urban cricket hub providing professional indoor and outdoor facilities. In 2021, the Grade II Listed Victorian Cricket Pavilion and historic ‘tin hut’ will reopen as a real food hub, creating a heritage destination with quality food and community at its heart.
