Levice castle

The castle was founded in the second half of the 13th century to defend the southern approach to the Central Slovak mining towns.

NEW SQUARE

In Levice we have the new square since October last year. Compared to the old square this is almost a luxury. There are many fountains and benches. Its a nice place located near shop centre Dituria. This gets many positive reactions from local and visiting guests.

Statue of General M. R. Štefánik

Milan Rastislav Štefánik was a Slovak politician, diplomat, and astronomer.

During World War I, he served as a General in the French Army and, at the same time, as the Czechoslovak Minister of War.

As one of the leading members of the Czechoslovak National Council, he contributed decisively to the cause of Czechoslovak sovereignty.

Štefánik's personal motto was: To Believe, To Love and To Work

Chapel in Kalinčiakovo

The Romanesque church in Kalinčiakovo is the most significant building in the village of Kalinčiakovo.

It is a Reformed chapel, originally built in the 12th century in the Romanesque style.

Park

City Park Levice consists of new and old parts.

The new part of the lever with a fountain, small lake, climbing frames for children and restaurants ..

City Park is located in the city center and is the relaxing part. It's quite crowded with people, and used primarily in the summer.
