Nivelco Hydrostatic Bore Hole Pressure Sensor

The Nivopress N hydrostatic level transmitters are designed to measure the level of clean or contaminated liquids. The pressure sensor at the bottom of the probe measures the sum of the hydrostatic pressure (Phydr) of the liquid column above it and the atmospheric pressure (Patm). The atmospheric pressure is led to the sensor through a breathing capillary which is equipped with a moisture filter that prevents the moisture reaching and damaging the electronics. This enables the atmospheric pressure to be subtracted from the measured pressure to get the hydrostaticpressure which is proportional to the height of the liquid column (h).

Continuous "Contact" Level Measurement for Liquids

Capacitance Level Transmitter

Capacitive level transmitters provide an ideal solution for level measurement of conductive or non-conductive liquids. The probe of the instrument and the reference probe (which can be either the metal wall of the tank or installed separately) operate as opposing plates of a capacitor. Between the plates of this capacitor the air is replaced by a medium with greater dielectric constant than the air during filling the tank, therefore the capacitance is changing directly proportional to the level. The incorporated electronic circuitry measures the capacitance differenceand converts it to an output signal proportional to level.

Bypass level indicators are for pressurized vessels up to 3.5 m heightcontaining liquids. The welded bypass chamber that is the body of the indicator and the tank form one pressurized system. Mounted on suitable connection flanges located on the side of the tank the liquid level in the bypass tube and the tank is equal. A float in the bypass tube incorporating a polarized magnet tracks the level of the liquid. Bi-coloured magnetic flaps mounted on the tube composing a bar are serving as visual indicators by changing their colour as the float passes.

The MicroTREK guided microwave level transmitter is designed for continuous level measuring of conductive or nonconductive liquids, pulps and solids. MicroTREK level gauge operates based on the well known TDR (Time Domain Reflectometry) principle. Micropulses are sent along a probe guide at the speed of light. As soon as the pulse reaches the surface of the medium, it is reflected back to the electronic module. Level distance is directly proportional to the flight time of the pulse. The reflected signal is dependent on the dielectric constant of the material, the feasibility of the measurement

Level Switches for liquids

NIVOSWITCH vibrating fork level switches are suitable for level detectionof liquids or granular, powdered solids. Configurations are available in extended length models as well as compact versions. Also available are sanitary models for food and pharmaceutical service.

Conductivity Level Switches

Conductivity level switches, based on the conductivity principle, can be applied to liquids with conductivity higher than 10 μS/cm. For detecting the level, probes are immersed intothe tank. These probes (and the tank wall if conductive) serve as contacts of an electric circuit. Probes can be of single or multiple rod versions. A maximum of 4 proberodscan fit in the multiple probe with an additional reference probe if tank wall is not conductive.

NIVOMAG MK-200 series magnetic float level switches are used for point level detection and level control of liquids in all types of vessels. The measurement principal is a non contact coupling system is realised by the permanent magnet of the float placed in the tank that can activate the microswitch situated in the housing mounted on the outside. The great variety of both the top and side mounted versions makes it easy to install the switch in any tank at any location.

Float Level SwitchesOur float level switches use a hermetically sealed reed contact actuated by a magnet in a float. As the float rises or falls, the magnetic field causes the switch inside the stem to open or close indication an alarm condition. They are available as single float as well as multi float point level switches with a maximum of 4 floats. Mounting configurations for horizontal as well as vertical mounting are available. Materials for both the stem and float are available in SS, brass, PTFE as well as many other materials.

Capacitance Level Switch

Compact Capacitance and Conductive Level SwitchThese miniature and compact level switches are high quality sensors, which can be used in harsh environments, for liquid level limit detection in metallic and non-metallic tanks containing electrically conductive and non-conductive liquids. The probe, fitting and housing are constructed of stainless 316, the isolator is Teflon. They feature built-in protection against reverse polarity, overvoltage and electrical shielding to deliver long-term reliability. The output is relay SPDT which can be configured as either NO or NC or both NO and NC.

Suspension type Float Level switch Level SwitchThe nivofloat type floating level switches are suitable for level switching of various liquids, sewage in shafts, tanks, basins and sumps. These float type level switches featuring mercury free contacts are suitable for drinking water, waste water and polluted liquids.
