The aim of the Level 1 Award in Book- keeping and Accounts qualification is to provide candidates with an introduction to book-keeping practices and to process source documents that underpin accurate record keeping. LEVEL 1 AWARD IN BOOK-KEEPING AND ACCOUNTSStarting January 2018

The AAT Foundation Certificate in Accounting is an ideal starting point for anyone wishing to pursue a career in accountancy or finance.

The purpose of the AAT Foundation Certificate in Accounting is to offer grounding in the core accounting knowledge and skills needed to progress either to employment or to further study. This qualification is suitable for young people who have just left school as well as adults returning to work after a break or for anyone wishing to change carer. The Foundation Certificate is open to those who are working and those who are not currently in employment.

The AAT Foundation Certificate in Accounting covers a range of foundation accounting and finance skills in five mandatory units:

• Bookkeeping Transactions• Bookkeeping Control• Elements of Costing• Using Accounting Software• Work Effectively in Finance

Subsidies are available for eligible employed learners.

The course will be run on a Tuesday from 1 to 7pm.

LEVEL 2 FOUNDATION CERTIFICATE IN ACCOUNTINGStarting January 2018

The AAT Advanced Diploma in Accounting offers technical training in accounting and is ideal for anyone wishing to pursue a career in accountancy or finance.

The purpose of the AAT Advanced Diploma in Accounting is to provide students with the specialist knowledge and skills required for progressing either to employment in an accounting or finance role, or to enable progression to further study in accountancy and finance.

This qualification is a progression route for students who have achieved the Foundation Certificate in Accounting. It is also suitable for those who are at a more intermediate level and looking to develop their skills in accounting, or for those who have already started working in finance and who have a need and desire to attain formal recognition of their skills.

The AAT Advanced Diploma in Accounting covers a range of complex accounting tasks. It comprises six mandatory units:

• Advanced Bookkeeping• Final Accounts Preparation• Management Accounting: Costing• Indirect Tax• Ethics for Accountants• Spreadsheets for Accounting

Subsidies are available for eligible employed learners.

The course will be run on a Monday from 9am to 4pm.

LEVEL 3 ADVANCED DIPLOMA IN ACCOUNTINGStarting January 2018

The AAT Professional Diploma in Accounting offers technical training in accounting and is ideal for anyone wishing to pursue or progress their career in accountancy and or finance.

The purpose of the AAT Professional Diploma in Accounting is to enhance the skills developed from the AAT Advanced Diploma in Accounting, enabling students to maximise opportunities in their current or new employment. By studying for this qualification, students will acquire professional accountancy and finance skills that will be useful throughout their career.

The AAT Professional Diploma in Accounting covers high-level accounting and finance topics and tasks. It comprises of six units:

• Management Accounting: Budgeting• Management Accounting: Decision and

Control• Financial Statements of Limited

Companies• Accounting Systems and Controls• Business Tax• External Auditing

Subsidies are available for eligible employed learners.

The course will be run on a Tuesday. From January to July 2018 - 1 to 7pm.From September to December 2018 - 9am to 4pm.
