Maria Arana is January'sParent of the Month!Maria Arana is new to our district; she has three

daughters who became part of our Leuzinger family

during the fall of 2016. She quickly became actively

involved in our school. She made sure to create a

Powerschool account as soon as her daughters enrolled

in order to stay on top of their attendance and grades.

She later attended Coffee with the Principals, Parent

Learning Walks, and ELAC meetings where she was

able to voice her opinions and share her ideas for the

school. Aside from attending meetings she also became

an arts docent where she got to volunteer during a

professional theater arts performance. If you get a

chance to meet Ms. Arana please feel free to

congratulate her on the amazing contributions she has

made to her children’s education and to our school.  

Do not forget to make your Parent Link account Important Dates!

Don’t wait for report cards to show up to know your studetnt’s

progress. Do not wait until you have received one of those

“your child was absent to one or more class” call to monitor

their attendance. Staying on top of the student’s grades and

attendance is as easy as a push of a button with our new

district phone app Parent Link. You can access it via web

along with Powerschool, or even better download the app on

your mobile phone. Ms. Panduro in the parent center is

always available to help just give her a call at (310) 263­ 2271

or visit her in room A­105.

Welcome back! No matter what your student’s grades were last semester, this is the time to start fresh. This is

the time for the student to apply the lessons they may have learned last semester, and take advantage of the

opportunities available to them to do better this semester. One of these resources is attending tutoring. Below is

the list of teachers that make themselves available to students throughout the day and even after school. A

student does not have to go to their own teacher for any given subject, they can get help from anyone they

choose. Aside from the teachers listed, we also have college tutors that come and help students during after

school hours in the media center. Please encourage your student to utilize these great resources!

Estar al tanto de las calificaciones de losestudiantes y la asistencia es tan fácilcomo presionar un botón

María Arana es la madre/guardián del mes de eneroMaría Arana es nueva en nuestro distrito; Ella tiene tres

hijas que se unieron a nuestra familia de Leuzinger durante

el otoño de 2016. Rápidamente se involucró activamente en

nuestra escuela. Ella se aseguró de crear una cuenta de

Powerschool en cuanto sus hijas se inscribieron para poder

estar al tanto de sus asistencia y calificaciones. Más tarde

asistió al Café con los Directores, Paseos de Aprendizaje

de Padres y reuniones de ELAC donde ella pudo expresar

sus opiniones e ideas para la escuela. Aparte de asistir a

las reuniones ella también se convirtió en un docente de las

artes donde ella fue voluntaria para una obra de teatro

profesional. Si tiene la oportunidad de conocer a la Sra.

Arana, por favor felicitela por las asombrosas

contribuciones que ha hecho a la educación de sus hijas y a

nuestra escuela.

No espere a que las cartas de calificaciones lleguen a casa parasaber el progreso de su estudiante. No espere hasta que hayarecibido una de esas llamadas que dicen que "su hijo estuvoausente a una o más clases" para supervisar su asistencia.Mantenerse al tanto de las calificaciones y asistencia de los

estudiantes es tan fácil como presionar un botón con nuestra nuevaaplicación de teléfono del distrito, Parent Link. Puede acceder a ellaa través de la web junto con Powerschool, o mejor aún descargar laaplicación en tu teléfono móvil. La Sra. Panduro en el centro de

¡Bienvenidos de regreso! No importa cuáles fueron las calificaciones de su estudiante en el último semestre, este es el

momento de empezar de nuevo. Este es el tiempo para que el estudiante aplique las lecciones que pudieron haber

aprendido el semestre pasado, y aproveche las oportunidades disponibles para que puedan hacer mejor este semestre.

Uno de estos recursos es asistir a la tutoría. Abajo se muestra la lista de maestros que se ponen a disposición de los

estudiantes durante todo el día e incluso después de la escuela. Un estudiante no tiene que ir a su propio profesor para

cualquier tema dado, ellos pueden obtener ayuda de cualquier maestro que ellos elijan de la lista. Aparte de los maestros

listados, también tenemos tutores de la universidad que vienen y ayudan a los estudiantes durante las horas después de la

escuela en el centro de computadoras. ¡Por favor anime a su estudiante a utilizar estos excelentes recursos!
