MESSAGE FROM THE LETTERMEN’S CLUB PRESIDENT The University of West Georgia has a rich history of intercollegiate athletics. As individuals who participated as student-athletes, coaches, trainers, managers, cheerleaders or mascots, we know that West Georgia created lasting memories for you and your fellow teammates. The goal of the Lettermen’s Club is to locate and re-engage everyone who participated in athletics at West Georgia. THE LETTERMEN’S CLUBThe Lettermen’s Club at University of West Georgia promotes lifelong participation with athletics for all former student-athletes, coaches, trainers, managers, cheerleaders and mascots by providing opportunities to return to the campus for athletic events, activities, and to fellowship with friends and former teammates. Additional persons who have rendered exceptional service to the West Georgia Athletic Program may be elected Honorary Members.

In order to maintain the vision for University of West Georgia Athletics of remaining one of the premiere athletic departments in the nation; the Lettermen’s Club hopes to help you stay connected to the UWG Athletics family!

The Lettermen’s Club also provides financial support to ensure a successful and competitive future for West Georgia Athletics.

MISSIONTo unite all University of West Georgia varsity letter winners and honorary members in a community that blends great traditions of the past, present and future through social interaction and projects that support the mission of University of West Georgia and its Department of Athletics.

1. By reaching out to former athletic program participants to inform them as to the goals, objectives and benefits of Lettermen’s Club membership.

2. By maintaining a committee for each sport to foster young and old to develop enthusiasm and long term positive relationships within that sport and the Lettermen’s Club in general.

3. By supporting communication systems that allow people of all generations to get to know each other regardless of geographical locations and to maintain a means of ongoing association with UWG and its Department of Athletics.

4. By making contributions of time, effort and other resources to certain projects and programs as approved by the Lettermen’s Club Executive Committee.
