Letter From the President
Ladies of the Brush, It was so nice to be back at the April 6
th
meeting. I was looking over our class schedule for the rest of the year and we have some very nice projects planned. Please check them out. Thank you Lee for the lunches you plan every month. A special thank you to Nedra for setting up the lunch at our April class. Please think about volunteering for the Nominating Committee. It won’t take up much of your time to ask members to run for office in 2020. I look forward to seeing you on May 4
th.

Letter from the 1st Vice President
Ladies of the Brush
Can you believe it – here we are into May already.
I hope everyone is prepared for Nancy’s Witch
Class. I for one am looking forward to it.
Registrations is now open for the June placemat
class taught by Lee Fasnacht. This is a fun pro-
ject. You can paint your placemats on Roc-Lon or
you can order canvas placemats from Hofcraft. I
am painting mine on wooden placemats. Use
whatever surface you would like.
July we will be painting a Santa Gourd with Ann
Hedberg. She will have the gourds available. Her
classes are always easy and relaxed.
We will be serving lunch at the May workshop.
Since it will be Cinco de Mayo we will be having
a Mexican themed lunch. Be sure to bring your
own drink. Cost of lunch will be $5.00 payable on
the day of the meeting.
Happy Painting.
Lee

Painting Tips by Nancy Walsh
Do you get frustrated looking for retired Americana paint colors? Or trying to
figure out what to substitute? Deco Art has a chart for mixing current colors to match
those that are discontinued. “Google” Deco Art or Americana Acrylic Paints and
check out the site. All current colors are shown and a 4-page instructional mixing
chart is available for downloading.
