Why do we need to write reports.

someone that will be helpful.

Have you ever had a teacher explainan equation to you in maths andwhen you try to get the same answeras he or she did it is all wrong.

Well explaining things well enough forpeople to understand what happened

or what to do is the reason why wewrite reports.

Will I ever need to use this skill when I geta job or at home.

Yes

If you need to record something that youdid at work that could get you a promotionyou will need to write a report.

If you see an accident and the insurancecompany wants to know what happenedyou will need to write a report.



So how do I write this report.

Reports are a little like essays

First get your information organised.

In our case we watched a video Read notes handed out to us. And took notes from a Powerpoint the

teacher showed us.



Lets write our draft.

A report is similar to an essay it hasa beginning, middle, and end.

Think of your report as a rabbit.

It has a head - (introduction)

A body - (main body of report)

A Tail -The conclusion of your report



Letz make a plan

Planning your report before you beginwriting is the best way to get the bestresults.

It will also help to ensure that youstay on track with the informationneeded rather than wander of with

ideas and information not needed. So head up a page with report plan



Lets get introduced This part of the report provides your reader with an idea of

what your report is about. It should include things like:

Who is writing this report

Why is the report needed And who the report is intended for. Take some time to look through your notes and

decide on who’s and why of your report Jot this down

Now your plan is underway



Lets get down to the gutz of thereport

Just like in the rabbits body, this is thefunctioning part of the report.

You need to decide on the actual details

such as: Times

Names

Descriptions of events Go through your notes again and on your

planning page makes some notes.



Writing a draft

From the planning stage you are nowready to begin writing a draft. Take anew piece of paper and begin to bulkout your report by writing each one of your plan ideas and notes into goodsentences.

Remember each new idea needs anew paragraph



Now our energy is tailing off

Lets get this report finished before we loseinterest.

How to end a report need not be difficult.

There are just two things you need to do.

4. Remind the reader why you are writing thereport

5. Tell the reader what outcome you expect.

Now that all the writing is done, you just need to read over your workbefore you hand it in.

Introduction

Report on the Holocaust work in Lodz Poland. By Franz Smit command of the Einsatzgruppen in

Lodz in Poland. To Adolf Hitler Fuhrer of Germany

This report will provide the details of the movement of Jews from their homes into the Lublin District. Thisproject was meant to be completed by February 1940.Almost a year after that date we are nearing the end

of this task. The following details the problems wehave faced with this task.



The Gutz of the matter

1. The Problem with the Ghetto’s

Most of the builders in the city of Lodz wereeither Jews or Polish people who supported

the Jews. Initially they worked reallyslowly as they were annoyed at being paidso little for the work we wanted done. Wesolved this problem by linning up several

of the workers and shooting them in thetown square where everyone could see.

2. The World was watching us.

American and English Spy’s were

reporting to their Governments thatwe were mistreating the Jews. Wehave had to spend a lot of time andmoney convincing them that we were

re-housing the Jews for their ownbenefit. The model camp at ……..etc…

3. Some of the Polish Police we employedhave fiends and family in the Ghetto.

These Police have become concerned about

the conditions for the Jews. Some of themhave complained to me and my men. As aresult we have had to shoot some of themthis has caused the Polish Police to set up a

resistance army which we have had tospend time fighting.

Conclusion

We are expecting the trains to arrive

tomorrow to transport most of theJews to Auschwitz. We will bekeeping the fit healthy men who arebetween 16 and 30 as we will need

some slaves to clean up the Ghettoand break down the wall.

All other Jews in the Ghetto will bemoved into the carpark area besidethe railway lines early in the morningbefore too many Polish people are upand about. Any Jew trying to escapewhen the trains are being loaded will

be shot. We also intend to shoot anysick or disabled Jews who probablywon’t make the trip to Auschwitz.

I expect the report to you next monththat all sign of the Jews ever havinglived in this city will be gone.
