What is STEM?
• STEM is an acronym for Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics.
• STEM education is a foundational component of success for the United States in the 21st century.
• STEM education is vital to this society’s ability to problem-solve, innovate, and be competitive.
STEM Education
• STEM education is more than the acronym.
• STEM education is an interdisciplinary approach coupled with real-world and problem/project based learning. STEM education breaks down the barriers that exist between the four disciplines and integrates them into one cohesive teaching and learning paradigm.
