Communities by Youth Work

Are you between 17 – 25? Willing to get new experiences in the field of youth work? Motivated to improve ability to work in multicultural environment as communication and leadership skills? Interested to learn more about project management and NGO sector in Skopje? If YES. JOIN our long - term training course Bridging Divided Communities by Youth Work.

What is about?Main aim of the project realized by Volunteers Centre Skopje is to provide 30 young people coming from different backgrounds an opportunity to take part in long term training course in English language which

- will include training sessions in English focus on communication, work with media, conflict and project management and sustainable development;

- will provide participants an opportunity to improve their communication, teamwork as leadership skills by working in mix intercultural environment and working with people coming from different European countries who are currently EVS volunteers in Skopje;

- will provide participants an opportunity to get new experience in the field of volunteerism and youth work;

- will provide participants an opportunity to develop and realize ideas for small local projects based on voluntary work;

- will provide participants a chance to take part in international training courses and youth exchanges taking place in Macedonia as abroad.

How?

Long term training course Bridging Divided Communities by Youth Work will include training sessions in English language as practical field work. Moreover the participants will have an opportunity to join local projects of Volunteers Centre Skopje and get practical experiences in the field of youth work.

When?

The project will start in November 2011 and finish in April 2012. Each week the participants will take part in training session as to join other activities of Volunteers Centre Skopje.

Conditions of Participation?

To fill in the application form which can be download from website and Facebook group of Volunteers Centre Skopje;

To able to communicate in English as the training sessions will be held in English language. No need for fluency. Important is to be able

understand and be able express ideas and opinions;To be open to work in mix -intercultural environment;

To be interested in voluntary and youth work;To take part in whole training course.

What participants will get?

The participants who will take in whole training course will get certificate and moreover and opportunity to take part in international youth project taking place abroad or in Macedonia.
