TRASHRecyclables can be taken to the Fairbanks North Star Borough Central Recycling Facility on May 11. All recyclables will have to be sorted as explained below.

FNSB Central Recycling Facility1855 Marika Road, Fairbanks AK 99709• Tuesday - Friday 12 PM to 5:30 PM• Saturday 9 AM to 5 PM• Closed Sunday and Monday

The Fairbanks North Star Borough has waived tipping fees for all Clean Up Day trash collected in yellow bags between April 1 and June 10. Green bags will be accepted May 11th.

They will not be picked up.

The Fairbanks Heavy Haulers, a group of dedicated volunteers, will pick up bags left at intersections and along main streets on May 11 only.

What can we put in the green bags?

On Clean Up Day, the Central Recycling Facility will accept ONLY empty aluminum cans and plastic #1 bottles and plastic #2 jugs in the green bags.

For more information about the Central Recycling Facility and a full list of materials that are accepted beyond Clean Up Day, visit www.fnsb.us and find the Central Recycling Facility under Borough Functions.
