Universal Studios Japan will offer various Happy Surprise-filled programs that enable you to fully enjoy the Park from morning to night and create many delightful memories under its 10th anniversary theme “the happiest surprise ever in its history!” These programs include “Water Surprise Party,” a participatory entertainment event held during the summer season only.

An very popular annual summer event where you can have fun getting soaked with lots of splashing water, will be renewed and upgraded as Water Surprise Party this summer!

The surprise-filled event, where you’re sure to get soaked more than expected, will take place on Hollywood Boulevard and feature the Park’s popular characters from Sesame Street™, Snoopy and other Peanuts characters, Hello Kitty, Dear Daniel and cheerful dancers. In the first half of the event, all the participants will dance the Goocky Dance together to the 10th anniversary theme song “GOOD LUCKY!!!!!” After warming up with sweat in an exciting mood, the latter half of the water splash event begins with all the guests splashing each other with water using Water Shooters (water guns). In addition, this summer, multiple water cannons installed at several places will splash lots of water in volumes twice as much as in past years. Enjoy happy this surprise-filled event where you can never predict from where you’ll get splashed and soaked next!

During the event you can have fun together with characters and entertainers while watching them up close. You can also enjoy a cool summer getting soaked more than expected even on scorching hot days. These are the most attractive features of the event.

Enjoy dancing, then getting soaked with splashed water under the summer sky, and create unforgettable summer memories through this unique event, held only at Universal Studios Japan. (Water Surprise Party will take place two or three times a day, approx. 20 minutes each time.) And it’s not only at Water Surprise Party! At Jurassic Park-The Ride, the splash volume will be double this summer!

At Jurassic Park - The Ride, one of the very popular attractions, you’ll be splashed even more with greater volumes of water, during this summer only. Feeling relieved while getting soaked immediately after you’ve safely escaped from the ferocious T-Rex at the climax of the attraction, you’ll then encounter a Happy Surprise! You will again get soaked with a large amount of water splashing all around. The volume of water splashed at Jurassic Park - The Ride will be adjusted depending on the day, the hour of the day, and the weather. New foods and goods for happy summer season to be launched!

Restaurants at the Park will offer a variety of tasty foods to beat the summer heat. For example, at The Dragon’s Pearl, you can relish cold Zha Jiang noodles with original hot chili oil. Eight types of frappes sold at five food venues will cool you down in a delightful way. Also, smoothies will be newly launched at the Park this summer.

In addition, Sesame Street™ Character Breakfast will take place at Studio Stars Restaurant for a limited time only⎯from July 16 (Sat) to September 4 (Sun), 2011. (Price: 1,980 yen for adults, 1,380 yen for children) During this time, Sesame Street™ characters will visit around your breakfast tables to greet you and take commemorative pictures with you.

At merchandise venues this summer’s best recommendation are the Water Shooters (water guns)! Let’s join splashing water at Water Surprise Party with this Water Shooter to make your summer time even more fun! Hooded towels and sandals featuring adorable

characters such as Snoopy and Hello Kitty are also recommended to enjoy this wet and cool summer event even more. If you want to cool down, how about uniquely shaped paper fans featuring Elmo from Sesame Street™ character, Spider-Man, and others, or cute and pop portable water misting fan. Major travel agencies commenced sales of a special travel package in April 2011. The travel package comprises accommodations, transportation and a Studio Pass (valid period: July 7 (Thu) to September 4 (Sun), 2011) with an original mini towel featuring Elmo, a very popular Sesame Street™ character. In addition to the travel package, a Studio Pass with an original mini towel and a ticket for the Magical Starlight Parade will be available via our official website or Loppi at Lawson stores.

Beck y, the 10th anniversary ambassador, sings the summer commercial song. The composer is a famous artist!

Becky, our 10th anniversary ambassador, will sing the summer commercial song “Kaze no Shirabe (Tune of the Wind)” (lyrics by Becky♪#, to be released on May 18 (Wed), 2011 from Toshiba EMI). A happy surprise will happen when you find out who wrote the music for the song, too!

The summer commercial song will start airing on TV from early July, mainly in the Kansai region. Universal Studios Japan Special Summer Vacation Program One Piece Premier Summer, a special event featuring ONE PIECE, a very popular manga and anime film, will be held. This amusement-filled event comprises a premier show, adventure rally, special foods and original goods.

One Piece Premier Summer, a special event in collaboration with ONE PIECE (written by Eiichiro Oda), a very popular anime film now serialized in the weekly magazine Shonen Jump (published by Shueisha Inc., with televised anime film), will be performed from July 7 (Thu) to September 4 (Sun), 2011.

The event comprises an enhanced One Piece Premier show that was performed last summer too, an adventure rally, and one-of-a-kind foods and goods under the ONE PIECE theme. (Note that purchasing a special show ticket is required in addition to the Studio Pass to enjoy the show.) Event details will be announced as soon as they are determined. Enjoy 10th Anniversary Event outside the Park as Well! Sesame Street™ Characters Are Coming to Your Town!

The event “Universal Studios Japan presents close in Kids! Dance Dance Dance” is being held at various venues nationwide mainly on weekends and holidays until July 17 (Sun), 2011, featuring the very popular Sesame Street™ characters Elmo and Cookie Monster. This is a participatory-type caravan event where children can enjoy dancing the Goocky Dance with the characters to the music of the 10th anniversary theme song “GOOD LUCKY!!!!!” On the day before the event at each venue, the characters visit local kindergartens and nursery schools to enjoy dancing with the children there. Currently, kindergarten and nursery school children can apply to participate in this event on our official website. (Applications are closed for some venues.) During the 10th anniversary period, Universal Studios Japan will offer various world

class entertainments filled with a festive mood and many surprises one after another. One of these entertainments includes Dreams Are Universal, a special outdoor show held on the greatest scale in the Park’s history. The show is a heartwarming story of family dreams performed by popular characters and a total of 100 entertainers. Besides this, surprise-filled performances are performed anytime, anywhere in the Park. These surprises include life-like dinosaurs called Dinosaur Walk, a funny performance using soap bubbles called Maintenance Crew Surprise, 10 kinds of trick art where you can enjoy optical illusions, and much more!

After the autumn season, Universal Studios Japan will offer a series of events including the surprise-filled exciting Universal Surprise Halloween (scheduled from September 6 (Tue) to November 3 (Thu, a national holiday), 2011), a new Christmas event to commemorate the 10th anniversary (scheduled from early November 2011 to early January 2012), and the annual year-end event Universal Countdown Party 2012 (from December 31
