Our ChangeOur change would be that instead of regulating the rights of women in the State and having them obey the Islamic jurisprudence, they would accept those rules and regulations, but not defy their rights from the State.

Part ThreePublic Freedoms, Rights and Duties

• Article 48 “Freedom of the press, printing, publication and mass media shall be guaranteed. Censorship on newspaper is forbidden as well as notifying, suspending or canceling them by administrative methods. In a state of emergency or in time of war a limited censorship may be imposed on the newspapers,publications and mass media in matters related to public safety or purposes of national security in accordance with the law.

• Our Amendment: The Freedom of the press, printing, publication and mass media shall be guaranteed. Censorship of any media outlet is forbidden, even under the threat of a national security crisis.

The PresidentArticle 76

The People’s Assembly shall nominate the President of the Republic.

The nomination shall be referred to the people for a plebiscite.

The nomination to the post of President of the Republic shall be made in the People’s Assembly upon the proposal of at least 1/3 of its member

The candidate who wins 2/3 of the votes of the Assembly members shall be referred to the people for a plebiscite.

If none of the candidates obtains the said majority the nomination process shall be repeated two days after the first vote.

The candidate winning the votes with an absolute majority of the Assembly members shall be referred to the citizens for a plebiscite.

The candidate shall be considered President of the Republic when he obtains an absolute majority of the votes cast in he plebiscite.

If the candidate does not obtain this majority, the Assembly shall nominate another candidate and the same procedure shall be followed.

Be it resolved that the people gathered here today pass the following amendment to the Constitution

AmendmentPolitical parties shall nominate one (1) candidate to be

President of the Republic

That candidate will be solely funded by said political party as well as private donations.

The nominations shall be referred to the people for a plebiscite.

Upon a majority vote, the highest ranking nominee shall become the President of the Republic.

The runner-up shall become the Vice-President of the Republic.

Said elected officials shall serve no more than 4 years in their elected office.

Article 77Statement: “The term of the Presidency is six Gregorian years

starting from the date of the announcement of the result of the plebiscite. The president of the Republic may be re-elected for

other successive terms.” Amendment: The term of Presidency is five Gregorian years starting from the date of announcement of the result of the election. The president of the republic may be re-elected for two consecutive terms in a row, and may be re-elected after another president has been elected and served his term.

Statement: “…Should this term expire without the choice of the new President being made for any reason whatsoever, the former President shall continue to exercise his functions until his successor is elected.”

Amendment: Should this term expire without the choice of the new President being made for any reason whatsoever, the People’s Assembly have the right to rule in place of a president until a new leader is elected.

Article 411.) Individual freedom is a natural right and shall not be touched. Except in cases of a flagrant delicate no person may be arrested, inspected, detained or his freedom restricted or prevented from the free movement except by an or necessitated by investigations and preservation of the security of the society. This order shall be given by the competent judge or the Public Prosecution in accordance with the provisions of the law. The law shall determine the period of custody.

Amendment IV Search and arrestThe right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized.- U.S. Bill of Rights
