Pre-writing

Teacher shows a poem on the LCD.

Teacher asks students to highlight theadjectives in the poem.

While writing

Teacher distributes worksheet 1and asksstudents to fill in the blanks with suitableadjectives describing their best friend.

Students may contribute more adjectives. Students brainstorm ideas based on the
