Home/School Approval Form For the month DECEMBER 2019

Respect means showing good manners to everyone even if you’re in a bad mood, even if you don’t like the person, and even if they were rude first. In martial arts, one of the ways we show respect is by bowing or shaking hands. There are many different ways you can show respect outside of martial arts, too. Here are some challenges for you during the month to help you practice respect!

Lesson of the Month: RESPECT

Say “Thank You” to someone you do not normally thank:

leave a note for your postman, garbage men, or other service worker. Write a letter to your local fire department or hospital, thanking them for the good they do.

Say “Please,” when you want something, without anyone having to remind you.

The next time you are in a bad mood, instead of snapping or saying something mean, take a deep breath, count to ten, and ask, “How can I show respect?”

List how you can show respect for your instructors
