Lesson BL2a - Pentatonic minor / blues scales

1) The pentatonic minor scale (first position)

Note: as stated in the video lesson, make sure that you use all four fingers in the correct frets when

you play these scales.

The scale is a five note minor scale (the pentatonic minor):

(5th fret)

= Notes in the Pentatonic Minor scale

2) The blues scale (first position)

You can see that this is the pentatonic minor scale with the addition of one extra note (the 'blue note'):

(5th fret)

= Blue note
