LESCO’s products are assembled and finished in two factories in Gauteng by under privileged mentally challenged men and women of South Africa. These people are provided with the op-portunity to show their excellent capabilities and skills and be part of the economic community.

PRODUCT FEATURES INCLUDE...

LESCO is a South African Company• that utilizes a labour force consisting of well trained people with intellectual disability from all walks of life. This provides them and their dependants with well needed income enables them to participate in the economic activities of South Africa normally.

Products are • Designed and Manufactured in South Africa thus providing LESCO with full and absolute control over all aspects of the products. LESCO products can therefore be sold and used with absolute peace of mind and the knowledge that every item will conform to safety and other standards required in South Africa.

LESCO switches and sockets are of a • one piece construction (no yoke/cradle), saving up to 40% of normal installation time – on a large project this can equate to huge saving!

On both the LESCO & • pipelli range, testing can be carried out from the outside of the product without unscrewing or removing the unit from the wall.

Large box type terminals on both the LESCO and • pipelli sockets with clamping plate for better cable retention and easier looping. Saving time & making the products more installer friendly.

No riveting of the brass tracks• on both the LESCO and Pipelli ensure minimal heat build up or contact breakdown.

The switches in both the LESCO range and Pipelli range of sockets has a • double spring system providing a firmer arc reducing contact, ensuring safety & longer life and maximum current transfer.

Ongoing product development of innovative ideas; for instance - • a switch socket with built in replaceable surge protection module.

pipelli rotary dimmers are switched on and off by pushing the control knob firmly. IMPORTANT: The potenti-ometer rotates continually, even after reaching minimum of maximum light intensity.

pipelli push button dimmers are operated on or off by momentarily pressing the button. The dimmers will switch back on at the light intensity it was switched off. In order to raise or decrease the light level, press the switch in and hold.

pipelli dimmers will automatically shut down when excessive inductive feedback occurs; e.g. lamp failure on transformer secondary). Momentarily pressing the switch or turning the dimmer knob will reset this shutdown if the error is not present anymore.

pipelli dimmers are of the leading edge type and work well with incandescent lamps and wire wound trans-formers. The dimmer should also work with electronic transformers that have been designed for dimming – they will state this on the cover of the transformer. DO NOT USE WITH ENERGY SAVING TYPE GLOBES.

We recommend transformers should have thermal and fuse protection.
