• Shadowing of limited value– Direct observation– May help a candidate to know if right career– Health tourism? – UK experience better– Considered by some – not LMS

• Working directly with people– Caring or service role– Much more opportunity to communicate and interact– Could be paid or voluntary – many options

• Evidence of motivation and desire to work with people in a caring way

• Evidence of steps taken to assess ones own suitability
