ADMINISTRATIVE STAFF
Julia M. Dunlap, Esq. Julia M. Dunlap, Esq., is the Director of Legal Education for UC San Diego Extension’s American Bar Association (ABA) Approved Paralegal program and the Intellectual Property Certificate. Additionally, she teaches Legal Research and Analysis, Certified Paralegal Exam Prep and Review course, and various other courses for UC San Diego Extension. Ms. Dunlap has played an active role in legal education for over 17 years and currently sits as president of the National Board of Directors for the American Association for Paralegal Education (AAfPE). She is also the Publications Chair of The Paralegal Educator, a national magazine for paralegal educators.
Ms. Dunlap received her Bachelor’s of Art degree in English from the University of California at Berkley. She earned her Juris Doctor degree from the University of San Diego, School of Law, and became an active member of the California State Bar in 1993. In addition to her duties at UC San Diego, Ms. Dunlap is a solo practitioner specializing in estate planning.
Azra Mukanovic, M.A.Azra Mukanovic, M.A., is the Student Admissions and Career Services Manager for the UC San Diego Extension’s ABA Approved Paralegal Certificate Program and the Intellectual Property Certificate Program. She graduated from Arizona State University with a Bachelor’s of Art degree in Psychology, a Master’s of Art degree in German Studies, and received a Certificate in Marketing at UC San Diego Extension. Throughout her career in education, Azra has been influential in fostering students’ academic and career success. While at UC San Diego, her focus has been on creating a close-knit student community and building a bridge between employers and graduates of the programs. She currently manages program admissions, oversees academic and career advising, and coordinates student and alumni events.
