who are Gurmukh are approved. Those who

do not forget the Lord, with each and every

breath and morsel of food, are the perfect

and famous persons.

As Gurmukh, I have come to understand

and realize myself; I merge in the Truest of

the True. ||3||

The three gunas hold people in attachment

Gurmukh earns Namm by Chanting

Page 22: Lecture 48

O mind, why are you so lazy? Become

Gurmukh, and meditate on Naam. 28

Page 23: Lecture 48

ਰਾਮ ਨਾਮੁ ਜਕਪ ਕਿਨਸੁ ਰਾਕਤ ਗੁਰਮੁਕਿ ਿਕਰ ਧਨੁ ਜਾਨੁ ॥ Chant the Name of the Lord day and night;

become Gurmukh, and know the Wealth of

the Lord. 21

Page 24: Lecture 48

Namm is the Law (hukum) and the sound of

the Creator’s Voice.

Page 25: Lecture 48

True is the Hukam of Your Command. To the

Gurmukh, it is known.

Page 26: Lecture 48

Those who do not become Gurmukh do not

understand the Naam; they die, and

continue coming and going in reincarnation.

||1||Pause|| 19

Page 27: Lecture 48

The Gurmukh praises the Naam, and the fire

of egotism is extinguished. ||1||Pause|| 20

Page 28: Lecture 48

With each and every breath, I dwell upon

You; I shall never forget You.

The more the Lord and Master dwells within

the mind, the more the Gurmukh drinks in

the Ambrosial Nectar. 20

Page 29: Lecture 48

Seva (selfless service) is the Prana (the life)

of the Gurmukh.

Page 30: Lecture 48

One who is influenced by praise and blame is not God's servant. One who sees the essence of reality with impartial vision, O Saints, is very rare-one among millions. ||2||

People talk on and on about Him; they consider this to be praise of God. But rare indeed is the Gurmukh, who is above this mere talk. ||3||

He is not concerned with deliverance or bondage. Nanak has obtained the gift of the dust of the feet of the Saints. ||4||26||96|| 51
