  • To help you recognize narrative elements, your teacher will show you a scene from The Lion King or another film. As you watch, take notes in the spaces provided.

The main conflict of the story is external, between Cinderella and her stepmother and stepsisters. The setting is Cinderellas home and the royal palace. Some events in a sequence are:Cinderella is introduced in the kitchen, cleaning the hearth.The royal invitation to the Princes ball is delivered.The stepsisters and stepmother make preparations to go to the ball.Cinderella is left out of the preparations.The fairy godmother dresses and transports Cinderella to the royal ball.
