S A F E D R I V I N GThe main focus of this lesson is to teach the newly hired operators the safe practices, prevent accidents and keep every one safe.
1- AIM HIGH IN STEERING..2- GET THE BIG PICTURE..3- KEEP YOUR EYES MOVING..4- LEAVE YOUR SELF AN OUT5- MAKE SURE THEY SEE YOU.
BRAKING AND SKID CONTROL..LEAVING A 4 SECOND SPACE BETWEEN THE VEHICLE IN FRONT OF YOU WHILE STARTING TO DRIVE AT INTERSECTION.
explore the very typical and basic safe driving issues and create their own public safety announcement.knowledge of Causes of the Accidents and they will learn how they can drive in a safe manner.
At the end of this lesson

C U S T O M E R S E R V I C ECustomer Service lesson is given because not all the people know about or have any experience in customer service. Have very less or no knowledge of public service. Helping the passenger, in case he or she needs a free ride, but the passenger has to tell the operator the emergent reason. The focus of this lesson is to teach about customer service and is designed to prevent any kind of assault and to keep everyone safe. It's important to educate the new transit operators about customer service.As people come from different back grounds and different jobs, working at one place for years doesnt mean he or she is the expert in customer service. At the end of this lesson the students will know when and how to help a passenger in need And how to prevent the assault situation the bus as per transit policies8EVALUATIONStudents will be assessed by quiz, the results of their case study ( short and long answers) and by indentifying the situations which they can face while driving alone and how successful they will be in satisfying the passenger in needs.
9TRAPTRANSIT ASSAULT PREVENTIONWinnipeg will investigate how it can improve safety on transit buses after the number of assaults against bus drivers has tripled in recent years. Many of the assaults start after a passenger has refused to pay a fare, It's becoming a huge problem.what's happening to transit operators out there? This program is to improve safety on the buses. As last few years the ratio of assault has increased.. Usually the assault happens when the passenger refuses the pay the fare. 10We want to provide a safe ride out there for everybody. unfortunate the number of assaults has risen steadily in the last six years, and it's an issue the city has to take seriously.In 2004 the assault committee was formed. The felt the need to examine the current policies. In 2007 the GPS system was supplied.In 2008 buses were installed with the Audio and Video Surveillance. As past few years the assault has gone up, so in 2004 the city and transit formed a committee together, they formed a Transit Assault Committee. In 2007 the GPS were supplied and in 2008 buses were installed with the Audio and Video systems.11 THE TOPIC TO TEACHIn this Lesson my aim will be to teach the new operators to recognize the dangerous situations and to avoid them, ensuring personal and passenger safety.The lesson will contain.1- The Definition of ASSAULT2- The 5 main levels of Assault3- Assault Report4- Training
12LEVELS OF ASSAULTLevel no.1: Applying force. Level no.2: Use of or threat to use a weapon. Level no.3: Aggravate assault by wounding. Level no.4: All levels of assault. Level no.5 Any crime committed on the bus.
OUT COMEAt the end of this program, new transit operators1- Recognize the dangerous situation2- keep them-self and others safe. MATERIAL The class/group will be provided the material at the time of their course program.The videos of the previous assault situation will be show.They will know how to recognize the dangerous situations and how to prevent them keeping every one safe in the bus.14EVALUATIONParticipation and group disscusion

In transit courses are mostly taught in groups by showing the students scenarios of different situations in class and they work in groups and or individually.Some time they learn when they are driving alone.
Teachers also learn and study the same videos, clips. in groupsindividually in class
