*SNOWFEST CRAFT FAIR – Saturday, November 14th 9:00 am to 3:00 pm at Boone Grove High School. You will

be able to shop for handmade crafts, door prizes, 50/50 drawing. This event is sponsored by the Boone Grove

Graders!! All 5th grade students will be selling Bakers Square Sweet Returns Pie Cards as a

fundraiser for their annual three day trip to Indianapolis. Bakers Square Sweet Returns Pie Cards are only $15 each and

are good for an entire year. Each card is good for one fresh Bakers Square pie of any kind and can be used at any Bakers

Square location. Each child selling Sweet Returns cards will receive 33% of each card sale to be used as credit towards

their Indianapolis trip expenses. Sweet Returns cards will be distributed the week of November 16th. Any questions-

*Chili’s Dining Fundraiser! November and December are PLE/BGE fundraising months at both the Valparaiso and

Merrillville Chili’s restaurant locations. Fundraiser vouchers will be sent home with your child soon. Remember to

bring your voucher and present it when making your purchase. Dine in or carry out anytime during November or

December and earn money for our schools. BGE/PLE will receive 15% of each sale. Lost your voucher or planning to go

more than once? Chili’s will gladly accept electronic versions of our vouchers on your phone. Download vouchers from

the school website under the PTO section, “Forms” tab. Don't forget to use your Chili's scrip card for an additional 11%

Elementary presents the

Thanksgiving

Food Drive

Every year Porter Lakes Elementary holds a Food Drive to benefit the Porter Township Food Pantry. This year the Drive

will be held

the week of November 1the week of November 1the week of November 1the week of November 16666thththth

Each day a student brings in food item(s), they will be given a raffle ticket. All the tickets will be put in a basket. On the Wednesday

before Thanksgiving Break, the school will gather for a Pie Throw & Baked Goods Give-Away. If your child’s ticket is drawn, he/she may win a baked good, or

may be able to throw a pie at a staff member!!!

The collected foods will be displayed in front of the office.

We hope that all our students have fun in giving to others!!
