AMC is proud to partner with the Autism Society to bring you unique movie showings where

you can feel free to be you! We turn the lights up, and turn the sound down, so you can get up,

dance, walk, shout or sing!

We are now expanding our Sensory Friendly Film program to four showings per month.

•The second and fourth Tuesday and Saturday.

•Family-friendly movies will continue to show Saturdays, starting at 10am local time

•We've added Tuesday showings at 7pm local time that may appeal to others on the autism

The New Jersey Dare Devils (NJDD) was started in 2002 by the mother of a child seeking to find a physical outlet for her child with autism. Today there are 50 boys and girls ages 6 to 28, with various special needs, playing for the NJDD at the Richard Codey Arena in West Orange NJ. Supporting these special hockey players are 12 adult coaches and over 75 junior/student coaches who are local youth hockey players helping to instruct the NJDD players in the intricacies of hockey. UCESC is pleased to announce that the first NJ state-supported Project Search High School Transition Program will be piloted in Union County, NJ beginning in the Fall of 2016! Recruitment for the first cohort of students will begin this Winter. The Project SEARCH Transition Program is a unique, business led, one year school-to-work program that takes place entirely at the workplace. Total workplace immersion facilitates a seamless combination of classroom instruction, career exploration, and hands-on training through work site rotations. This special project is the product of a collaborative effort between UCESC, the NJ Division of Vocational Rehabilitation Services, and the NJ Division of Developmental Disabilities.

Camp Oakhurst opened its doors in 1906, and since then has been serving the community loyally. The Camp is open to not only for children,

Camp Oakhurst is a fully accessible camp for about 800 campers each summer. The 15 open acres are unbarred, allowing for easy wheelchair

A therapeutic aquatic experience for young children Our parent-child adaptive aquatics program is offered to children with special needs and their caregiver. These classes are designed to introduce children to the aquatic

environment, provide opportunities for bonding, and teach water safety.

Attend one of our FREE, quick developmental screenings for children ages 19-48 months and sharing valuable resources for parents curious about early childhood

development.

Each screening will take approximately 30 minutes and will include an interactive questionnaire and conversation between parent(s), child, and staff.
