InFaith COMMUNITY FOUNDATION® | 2014 ANNUAL REPORT
For now we see in a mirror, dimly,
but then face to face.
1 Corinthians 13:12-13
Now I know only in part;
then I will know fully, even as I have been fully known.
4 5
And now
faith, hope,
and love
abide, these
three;
And the
greatest
of these is
love.
6 7
Leap Love
Many think of a leap of faith as an act of courage,
but it’s an act of complete trust; an act that’s
based in the certainty of God’s love that calls
us to move from the past and welcome the
future of God’s promise.
This leap, this promise, is at the heart of our
practice at InFaith Community Foundation. Our
mission to spread joy, our belief in abundance,
and our commitment to live in possibilities, are
expressions of living a life of love by sharing our
blessings with the world.
In Romans 13:8, St. Paul writes, “Owe no one
anything, except to love one another; for the
one who loves another has fulfilled the law.”
Through the charitable funds that you, our
donors, have created at InFaith Community
Foundation, you are indeed expressing this love
in ways that are changing lives and spreading
joy throughout our shared community.
Whether your interest is strengthening your
church or school, supporting social ministry or
environmental organizations, or treating all of
God’s creatures with respect, your fund is an
expression of your love, your care and your faith.
Thank you for your generosity and desire to make
this world a better place. We, the staff and board
of InFaith, are privileged to serve you, and take
most seriously the stewardship of assets you have
entrusted to us. By sharing your blessings, your
love is made manifest in God’s world.
In faith,
Rev. John R. Sabatelli Board Chair
Chris Andersen President & Executive Director

OUR VALUES
SERVICE Serving with gratitude and integrity.
STEWARDSHIP Managing resources wisely for the greatest good.
COLLABORATION Combining talents to expand connections.
POSSIBILITIES Living in the spirit of generosity and abundance.
RESULTS Achieving positive, effective and lasting change.
Nineteen years ago, we formed a community foundation on values
that emerged from faith: service, stewardship, collaboration,
possibilities and results.
Today, InFaith Community Foundation is a rare organization that
integrates faith with the highest level of financial integrity and
stewardship. InFaith once again earned Charity Navigator’s top
rating for sound fiscal management and GuideStar’s top rating for
transparency and commitment to excellence. This recognition is a
direct result of the faith and values that shape our identity.
It’s with this same commitment that we seek to fulfill the intentions
of our donors. InFaith’s values guide our processes and shape our
interactions with you as donors; helping you define your intentions,
deepen your engagement and enhance your giving.
What is at our core matters deeply. For people of faith, knowing the
love of God is bedrock. From this knowledge, we leap to the call to
spread joy and change lives.

GenerosityIn 2014, new and existing donors expressed their generosity by making hundreds
of gifts—each tailored to donors’ beliefs, values and financial circumstances.
Individuals and families created 216 new Donor Advised Funds in 2014. Faith-based nonprofits and churches established 30 new Endowment Funds. Charitable
funds at InFaith now total 4,025. For a complete list of Donor Advised Funds, Endowment Funds and Collaborative Funds, visit InFaithFound.org/2014funds.
Donor satisfaction reached an all-time high of 97% in 2014. Feedback through donor surveys, focus groups and personal conversations provided valuable insights
on how InFaith can better serve, and guided the Foundation’s name change to InFaith Community Foundation.
JoyEach donor gift translates into charitable support that spreads joy throughout our shared community. In 2014, InFaith charitable funds distributed a record 3,587 grants.
The majority of InFaith grants, 91%, were distributed from Donor Advised Funds to donor-recommended charities. Another 8% were from Endowment Funds of churches and faith-based nonprofits, and 1% were from InFaith Collaborative Funds.
Through donor gifts to InFaith Collaborative Funds, church communities received training to recognize and support victims of domestic abuse, international communities were rebuilt following natural disasters and our faith community was assisted in caring for God’s creation.

StewardshipInFaith’s investment allocation reflects its objective to earn the highest
investment returns possible within acceptable levels of risk. Historic returns of the Growth Portfolio serve as evidence of how long-term positioning of
InFaith investments helps support donors’ gift and grant activity.
Technology improvements throughout 2014 resulted in improved donor services, including more in-depth online access, the opportunity for paperless statements
and custom investment allocation.
AccountabilityInFaith again earned a clean audit from independent auditors in 2014. InFaith also earned top ratings from Charity Navigator for sound fiscal management and GuideStar for transparency and commitment to excellence.
