Leadtek Fingertip Pulse Oximeter
• Leadtek Fingertip Pulse Oximeter provides an accurate
measurement of arterial oxygen saturation (SpO2) and heart rate
(pulse) in seconds
• Its versatile housing design can accommodate with the widest size
range of fingers between 0.8cm and 2.3cm (0.3 inch ~ 0.9 inch)
• Furthermore, with combination of the latest electronics technology,
Leadtek Fingertip Pulse Oximeter is presented with the most friendly
interface to users and environments.

Powered with only one AAA Battery
• Leadtek Fingertip Pulse Oximeter powered with only one AAA
Alkaline battery for 18-hour cotinuous use, extreme energy saving
design and environment friendly.
Measurement Method
Leadtek Fingertip Pulse Oximeter determines SpO2 by measuring the
absorption of red & infrared light passing through perfuse tissue.
Changes in absorption caused by the pulsation of blood in the vascular
bed are used to determine SpO2 reading and pulse rate. Dual
wavelength LED specification - 660 nanometers @0.8mW and 940
nanometers @1.2mW; both as max average

Oximetery Principle
The pulse oximeter identifies the absorbency of the pulsatile fraction of blood—defined as the arterial component—from the absorbency due to nonpulsatile venous or capillary blood and other tissue pigments. Identification and isolation of the pulsatile component are difficult in the presence of low perfusion in the patient.
• Oxyhemoglobin will absorb more infra red light and allows red light to pass.
• On another hand, deoxyhemoglobin will absorb more red light and allows infra red light to pass.

Performance Accuracy
• SpO2
– measuring range: 0%~100%; Resolution 1%
– accuracy: 70%~100%±2%; less than 70% unspecified
– Low perfusion test (0.5% modulation) (This test uses an SpO2 Simulator to provide a simulated pulse rate, with adjustable amplitude
settings of various SpO2 levels. The module must maintain accuracy in accordance with ISO
80601-2-61 for pulse rate and SpO2 at the lowest obtainable pulse.)
• Pulse rate
– range: 30~250bpm with resolution 1bpm
– accuracy ±1bpm or ±1%, whichever is greater
• Anti-motion
– With advanced anti-motion algorism to reduce the
interrupted effects of a movement to the minimum. Any
motion within 2 Hz and under 30 seconds will not affect
performance
