New Feature: 30 Voices @ 30 Years

To celebrate the progress andaccomplishments of 30 years of LSS,we are highlighting 30 alumni overthe course of this anniversary year.In this enewsletter, we celebrate twowomen who participated in theinaugural class of 1987, Carol Clarkand Sandy Abrams. Carol is anattorney and Sandy is a real estateagent. We asked these ladies toshare their thoughts and ideas in thefollowing interviews:

1. How do you stay connected to the Sandy Springs community? CC: Tom-tom drumbeat usually, but occasionally Harry Potter's owl brings by the news.SA: Being in the inaugural class of LSS generated a great enthusiasm under theleadership of former Executive Director Carolyn Axt in the new development of the greatcity of Sandy Springs, to the new Executive Director Jan Paul. Our future is trulyamazing. 2. What is your greatest achievement? CC: I believe "the best is yet to come."SA: My family: Dave, husband of 55 years; daughters and and their husbands (Alisonand Jason Schneider, Julie and Jeff Rosenblum) and five incredible grandchildren(Adam, Sophie, Caroline, Jenna and Joe).3. What's on your bucket list? CC: Trying not to kick it prematurely; at present it is wonderfully full. After all, "onecannot be too rich, or too thin, or (as I have added) have too much fun, too manyfriends, or too much faith."SA: Traveling to all U.S. major attractions, South Africa, Normandy, Australia and Israel.4 How has LSS positively affected your professional and other areas of your life? CC: The "first" of anything automatically means I was part of an experiment in progress. I was thrilled to look out into the room for the new kickoff of the 30th anniversary andsee individuals and our community still dreaming bigger dreams and underpinning thosedream castles with acts of service, kindness and friendship.
