ABOUT FEIL

Forum for Emotional Intelligence Learning (FEIL), a non-profit registered society, was created in 2008 by a group of eminent academicians and professionals committed to building caring and compassionate Leadership.

We believe that leaders must appeal to the heart and the head because the best decisions happen through qualitative links between passion and logic. We found that Emotional Intelligence is the ability to functionalize such links.

We are convinced that performance is influenced by inspirational leadership and needs to be communicated beyond the organization. The leadership team at HPCL collaborated with the Tata Institute of Social Sciences to spread this message with the first Global Forum on Emotional Intelligence at Mumbai in January 2008 with delegates from the USA, Europe, India, and other Asian countries..

FEIL is committed to helping organizations change for the better by encouraging executives and people to develop and improve Emotional Intelligence for enhanced social awareness and relationship management resulting in better and motivating work places. FEIL is committed to bringing people and organizations to align and integrate personal accomplishment with organizational success.

Contribution to Self and Collective PerformanceEmotional intelligence (EI) is a set of abilities to understand emotions

of self and others and use that knowledge to understand and manage others for superior performance. Emotional Intelligence competencies like self-awareness and self-control enable us to display intentional instead of impulsive behaviors and enable us to improve personal effectiveness and results.

EI Competencies like Social Awareness, Empathy, Inspirational leadership, Teamwork, and Influence ensure superior interpersonal behavior and leadership abilities that contribute to improved team/unit/organization performance. Therefore, Emotional Intelligence is not a buzz word but has its grip and importance firmly established in the business lexicon.

SOCIAL CONTRIBUTION

Forum for Emotional Intelligence Learning is committed to social causes especially enhancing emotional literacy in the poorer sections of society to enable them to achieve personal and professional success.

For several years FEIL has been promoting emotional literacy in Municipal schools. In 2018 FEIL invited teachers from about a hundred municipal schools in the Emotional Intelligence Conference at TISS, Mumbai. This was with the intent of helping teachers become aware of the benefits of students being educated on Emotional Intelligence Skills for improved academic performance and improved social and family relationships.

FEIL has also consistently in the last one decade in our learning events provided scholarships to PHD and MBA students helping India build leadership capability.

CONTEXT

FEIL has been involved in creating compassionate and effective leaders for over a decade. Numerous workshops creating accredited EI practitioners and trainers have helped the industry to benefit by nurturing leadership which cares for people, planet and profits.

It has hosted large conferences with the top EI Gurus like Dr. Daniel Goleman, Richard Boyatzis, Dr. Darwin Nelson, Gary Low, Rick Hammett, Lyle Spencer, Robert Emmerling amongst others. It has been instrumental in spreading the concept of EI and recognizing exceptional leaders from Indian organizations.

The Leadership and EI Summit and Awards 2020 will be held at DMRC Auditorium, G. Fl., Delhi Metro Rail Corporation Ltd., Metro Bhawan, Fire Brigade Lane, Barakhamba Road, New Delhi-110001 on16-17th Jan 2020. Over 200 leading professionals and academicians from all over the world will be presenting papers on Emotional Intelligence. Keynote and panel sessions on cutting edge EI practices in successful companies from across the globe promise to be the showstopper.
