Key HolderYou need to look around and see if you have some cup hooks to screw into the frame – if not use some nails and hammer them in gently and then bend them into hooks – to make them look nicer you can paint them or wind some colour thread or wool around them.

KOKEDAMAYou will need:Soil Moss (dried sheet moss is pretty good is good but moss from the ground will work too)PlantsString or twineScissorsA bowl of water

Step 1: Wrap PlantStart by taking the soil off of your chosen plant and wrap it's roots in a thin layer of moss.

Step 2: Dirt BallMix enough water into your soil so that it sticks together but is not dripping wet.Make a ball of soil around your plant. Don't squeeze too hard but make sure it stays together.

Step 3: Add MossIf you are using dry moss wet it slightly in your water bowl. If you are using moss you harvested yourself this will not be necessary. Now wrap your soil ball with one layer of moss. Step 4: Tie It UpWrap the Kokedema in string or twine. Tie it off, and add some strings for hanging. CONGRATULATIONS you’ve now finished your kokedama. Hang it up!! (moss is best suited for shaded environments) spray the base every few days to water them.

Paper to Use

To press flowers, you must dry them out as quickly as possible to prevent browning. There are a number of different types of paper you can use to accomplish this, such as printer paper, flat cardboard, plain non-treated facial tissue or even non-corrugated coffee filters. Avoid paper towels, as many have textures that may end up imprinted on the petals.Press Flowers Using a Book

1. Place the flower between two pieces of paper, and place them within the pages of the book. Depending on the size of the book, you can press multiple flowers at once. However, be sure to space them out so that the moisture from one flower doesn’t transfer to another.

2. Use more books, or perhaps a brick, to weigh down the book once it is closed. Be sure not to disturb the arrangement of the flowers upon closing.

3. Change the blotter sheets every few days here as well. After two to three weeks, the flowers will be completely dry. When removing, use a pair of tweezers, or very carefully use your fingers, as a completely dry flower is very delicate.
