The resort is to the Northern Nha Trang city, inside sea-front hospital ity area. This zone

contain alot of mountains run paral lely to the seashore. Consequently, the resort lays on a slope and

the lot is straight a long the beach, producing a lot of beautiful sea views. In Nha Trang, the cl imate is

kind with two main seasons: rainy and dry; there is lack of storm.

At the time Lib.A took part in, there were some building already constructed. Vil las named C,

Vil la B and Bungalows had finished their hard core. The Center house, Vil la A were under

construction. The adjustment in designing as well as constructing before had caused the project late.

A main concept for the project was confirm after great number of discussion between the

investor and designers. All of the existing bulding were adjusted and the new ones were designs to

create open spaces, connecting with landscapes and louver shaders. Natural materials were used

more to create the relax feeling which was sti l l hard to get when standing among a crowded of

houses with white wall and ti le roof. A Conference hall , a restaurant, a Spa house and some more

buildings were completely new but were in harmony with the old ones. After many times of

adjustment, the project sti l l remained an union group of facil ities.

Ti l l the open day (24/04/201 3), Lib.A designed the architecture and durable interior of most of

facil ities inside services zone such as the restaurant, the conference hall , the architecture part of spa

house, the pool bar, and the durable interior of center house, beside consulting to adjust the others.

Conference Hall , Swimming pools, Bar)

    The center house contains Welcome

    lobby(Third Floor), Administration Office(Second

Floor), Back of House and Kitchen(Ground Floor).

The Office is not so comfortable with lack of

sunl ight because the second floor were added

after the house had been built. Lib.A adjusted alot

to adopt the minimize need of the staffs.

Right after dropping off, the guest could

enjoy a ful l relaxing feeling with the sudden

openning view through a water surface link to the

sea. There is not any reception desk but just sofas

for rest to make a comfort and friendly asmosfere

as in a l iving room of a friend.

This is one of the most successful faci l ity among all . The space was remain nearly the same

from first concept to construction phase. Lib.A proposed a place in which the sea view is not devided

and the guests can enjoy it everywhere. The architecture here is just a shader. There is no more

slope ti le roof but just a large flat roof with water surface above, supported by a unique column

system. The nature enters deeply with voids for plants and round skylight holes placed on the roof.

Both the investor and Construction Manager Team (CMT) approved this concept and found out a lot

of solution to make the design become true.

I t is clear that the relation and cooperation among the steak holders is critical to decide the

quality of a project. Unstanding and respecting each other is the key method to achieve success.

We did our right work. This building, Lib.A did architecture

design service. The others (M&E, Structure, Interior design) were

of different consultants. After construction documentation, the

investor wanted to add more treatment rooms, so that the interior

designer had to adjust al l , from floor plans. At the end of the

construction phase, because of the weak financial faci l ity, many

    parts were not finished yet.

The conference hall was place on a narrow lot close to the

the center area became more dens. To keep the relax feeling of

the guest swimming, a large terrace was add between meeting

    rooms and the pool.

The construction had to stoped once because of the need

of design adjustment from the investor.

Lib.A's task was to redesign the houses,

create more open view and private garden. Most

were add. This area experienced a strong control

Venesia is a large urban project in the West of Nha Trang city. The tendency of the developer is

construct an garden-by-river urban. Lib.A joined in this project to design three kinds of private houses.

Venesia is the common name of the two smal ler projects: "New urban Le Hong Phong I-phase 3" and

"New urban Le Hong Phong I I", which are both along the Quan Truong river side, Nha Trang. These two

projects are highly comfortable residential areas which consist of various kinds of house, schools, office

buildings, parks, entertainment park along the riverside and right on the river. Al l are in wide-opened style,

use wind and solar energy. Venesia developers hope to propose a modern peaceful l iving environment

which has characteristics of a Southern Vietnam city.

Lib.A took part in the project ti l l late 201 1 , when the 1 /500 master planning had been approved and

a type of business-house had been designed. After a competition, the concept which was use to apply

every designs later was the enough satisfaction for privacy, giving more place for the Nature and high

    ventilation with 'soft' structures.

Over a year in cooperation, Lib.A created most of low-rise apartments with six types of 8m-by-1 5m

townhouse, two types of 5m-by-1 5m townhouse and two types of vil la. The project wil l produce more than

three hundred private apartment buildings for markets.

One year after starting, Ha Quang Land changed the product. Six types of 8x1 5 town houses were

removed, the land lots were devided smal ler to 5mx1 5m. A new requirement appeared: designing two

townhouse type with one consist two facades, another consist one. The floors increase from 4 to 3. However

the design of the conner house was stil l remained.

    Concept:

Air bags do not have a fix shape, l ike natural caves. They were shaped by the movement of the Earth,

mounted by kinds of sol id substances. When a geologic block was gouged and pul led up from the Earth,

the oil had been mined out, leaving only a black space. I t was processed into a cave. That space is large

enough for public spaces, such as welcome entrance, walk-way, as wel l as a garden enters deeply from

outside to join in a huge cyl inder courtyard. The facade was processed with some materials with different

size and color, creating images of the geological layers. Images of deep black oil bag highl ights on that

    backdrop.

Earth: where people l ive, flourish and take away the power from inside to serve their l ives.

Petroleum-fossil energy, is about to run out. What wil l happen when al l energy of the Earth depleted? What

wil l come to mankind when we have drained the place we cl ing to in order to survive?

The planets: Everything, including planets, are mobil izing according to their own rel igion. They are

fil led with energy. They are usual ly located in the given system, but sometimes the col l ision occurs.

  • Le Pham Portfol io

The ground floor in which the division is

minimized, is wide-opened and becomes an element

of the landscape and the square. The combination

between a pool, the huge courtyard and the existing

    vegetation erases the internal-external boundary.

General ly, the landscape covers al l the land lot.

Al l of the functions are place at upper floors,

or bring to the basements, leaving the ground floor

for landscape. Outside exhibition area, welcome

lobby and main entrance are placed flexibly inside

garden background. On the ground floor, the only

type of architecture is vertical elevator block.

Conference hal l s and exhibition area are on the two

top floors. Secondary spaces, administration zone are

    placed inside the structure framework.

The traffic cores are put next to the cover.

They are also the structure sol id core, combine with

the framework to stabil ize the building. As a result,

every internal spaces are nearly continuous. The

exhibitions floors are also free from structure in order

to change easily and to be re-divided, adapting

    various topics of exhibition.

Cam Ranh landscape has a precious wild scene with sand dunes, long beach and the typical botany

of the Middle ofViet Nam, dominated by bushes and smal l desert trees. I t is a must to grasp the wildness of

    this barren sandy landscape.

The new architectural entity is introduced to the landscape with an intention to emphasize the

natural sandy terrain while preserving the local wild botany. The hotel building appears as large sand dunes.

I ts immense masses are al leviated by continuously connecting to the natural sand dunes through numerous

half-natural sand dunes containing luxurious vil las. The grand hal l is cave-l ike, a tropical forest oasis with

large water surface; dissolves in the sandy landscape. The vil las are l ike niches in the sand dunes to maintain

    the users privacy and views.

Interior of the hotel and vil las are cave-l ike shelters fromthe desert sandstorm.

Additional plants must be chosenbased on natural local botany and suitable tosandy soil .

The wildness of the site is considered as the critical factor to predominate over other aspects of the

    design.
