Una volta entrati nel chiostro della confraternita dei frati di San Crispino si viene rapiti da un’atmosfera intima e spirituale, fatta di pietre, di giardini nascosti, di antiche mura romane e splendide finestre medievali affacciate sulla pianura ai piedi di Assisi. Il restauro e la conservazione dell’edificio originario hanno permesso il recupero di 7 suites, per una capienza totale di 18 posti letto. Ciascun ambiente porta il nome di uno degli elementi del Cantico delle Creature di San Francesco: Frate Sole, Sora Luna e Stelle, Madre Terra, etc. Mura e archi originali sono risalenti al periodo medievale; l’arredamento antico ed in stile umbro custodisce intatto il fascino e la suggestione del passato, offrendo la possibilità di rivivere in esso pur beneficiando di tutti i confort della moderna ospitalità.

The Historic Residence of San Crispino is a fascinating historic dwelling housed within a 14th century building built on Roman foundations and located at the foot of the splendid St. Claire church, in the historic city center of Assisi, one of the most evocative places in the world. Once inside the cloisters of the San Crispino fraternal order, you are enraptured by a quiet and spiritual atmosphere made of stone with hidden gardens, ancient Roman walls and splendid Medieval windows overlooking the valley at the foot of Assisi. Enjoy the stunning sunsets and panorama spanning from the nearby churches to the far away cities: you will be surrounded by warmth and charm at this timeless dwelling.

The restoration and conservation of the original building has allowed us to salvage 7 suites, for a total occupancy of 18 guests. Each room takes the name of one of the elements of St. Francis’ “Praise of the Creatures”: Brother Sun, Sister Moon and Stars, Mother Earth, etc. The original walls and arches date back to the Medieval period and the antique, Umbrian-style furniture upholds the charm and fascination from the past, offering you every opportunity to relive history with the added benefit of having all the comforts of modern hospitality.
