• General Description of the Unions • Villages are isolated and surrounded by
Haor; locally named as AATI. After flash flood, the entire area gets inundated when erosion of soil takes place due to wave action causing damage of HH & disrupts livelihood.
• The only rice crop (Boro) is cultivated and harvest is subject to sudden flash flood and require high ground for storage.
• People use RCC roads for communication which remains submerged for more than 6 months.
• 90% of inhabitants use open toilets. • Within 4 to 5 km there is no markets or
even graveyard for burial. • No Electricity
