0 Within the Social Change Model, and for our definition, citizenship centers on active participation as a result of a sense of responsibility to the communities in which people live.
0 To hold citizenship, one must be actively engage in their community and strive to promote the quality of life.
Group Work in Relation to Citizenship
0 Citizenship is solely dependent on the community.
0 A community consists of individuals working together to help sustain life.
0 Without a community there are no citizens.
0 Thus, Citizenship is built upon group work
0 Each part of the community requires different individuals to help sustain the quality of life.
0 Each individual involved is a citizen with true citizenship status.

0 This in turns generates more productive leaders in the community and enhances social change.
UCF Community
0 A True Citizen does not have to be a citizen in power.
0 You could be a member of the PLC
0 You could be a Floor Representative in HAC
0 You could be a volunteer for the Chocolate lover’s Club!
