The RTI and LDI provide workforce training for entry level through first line supervision personnel engaged in transportation, logistics and distribution (TLD) related job functions.

Programs…
160 hours of classroom and hands-on training that provides instruction in driver safety, transporting cargo safety, air brakes, combination vehicles, tank vehicles, and hazardous materials.
This program is licensed by the Ohio Department of Public Safety and results in Class A Commercial Driver’s License.
Truck Driving Academy
Intended for the worker new to the TLD industry, this program provides 80 Hours of entry level skills training to include 40 hours of lecture and 40 hours of laboratory.
Course Outline: ◦ Fundamentals of Warehousing and Distribution ◦ Introduction to Receiving◦ Introduction to Inventory Control◦ Dangerous Goods Shipping / Receiving (49CFR)◦ Fork-Lift training ◦ Soft Skills
All training in this program will result in the attainment of the MSSC Certified Logistics Associate certificate which is nationally recognized.
Warehouse & Distribution Boot Camp Training
Intended for the TLD worker with experience, the 188 hour Intermediate Certificate in Global Logistics prepares students to prepare them for greater responsibility and growth in their careers.
Course Outline:o Intro Global Logistics and Transportationo Intro to Operations & Supply Managemento Intro Supply Chain Logistics Managemento Intro to Global Trade Operations
Intermediate Certificate in Global Logistics
All training in this program will result in the attainment ofthe MSSC Certified Logistics Technician certificate which isnationally recognized.
1-2 Day classes that train workforce participants in the practices, principles and requirements associated with packaging, marking and transporting Hazardous Materials (Haz-Mat). This training is required to ship any dangerous goods by land, air or water.
A certificate of completion will be issued to all students that attend the training session and successfully pass the knowledge assessment.

The Staffing Strategy…Instruction will be provided by adjunct professors from companies on the advisory council and throughout the region. These instructors will be subject matter experts and will use business cases from their current operating environment.
Using active industry professionals to provide instruction ensures our students will be learning the latest practices and principles of transportation, logistics and distribution. It will also ensure that the topics covered are ones that will increase the students competitiveness in the job market.
