Aging DepartmentThe overall goal of the seven Senior Centers of theLexington County Recreation and Aging Commission issummarized in the motto, Privileged Ones GrowingOlder. Recognizing that it is a privilege to grow older, westrive to enhance the lives of the older adults in ourpopulation and to acknowledge and benefit from thenumerous gifts those persons have to offer through theirparticipation in our programs.

Our Senior Centers offer a variety of programs andactivities aimed at enhancing an older adult’s mental andphysical wellness. Anyone who wishes to participate inour programs must be free of conditions requiringpersonal care assistance or personal supervision. Olderadults are welcome to participate in the daily activities atthe Centers. Call your local Center for age requirements,memberships, activity fees and program availability.

Fall Lexington County Lacrosse REGISTRATION: DECEMBER 14-MARCH 31.Lexington County Recreation Commission will beginregistration for the Spring Lacrosse teams. Come out tothis new sport and see what it’s all about. Our teamswill be playing area teams. We will also travel to out oftown tournaments this season. All players will needfull Lacrosse Equipment to begin. Practices will start inMarch. No lacrosse experience necessary. Cost: $70/child. Ages 7-14.

Lexington County Co-ed Kickball LeaguesREGISTRATION: FEBRUARY 1-MARCH 31. AGES 18+.Come out and enjoy fun and fellowship with friendsand family playing an all time classic game. The leaguewill run on Tuesday/Thursday nights at Pine GroveSports Complex. If you are an individual that wouldlike to be placed with a team or a team looking forsome extra players, call 359-4048 ext 240. This is arecreational fun league. We use the same type ofkickball you used on the playground as a kid!Winners will receive an LCRAC Adult Co-ed KickballLeague t-shirt and trophy. We will becompeting in track meets across the state this year.Our teams will compete against some of the bestrunners in the state.
