Dear future LCP

I’m most honored to write this piece at this time. it is sacred for me and I hope you catch the drift.First I'll like to congratulate you for challenging your self to apply for the role of Local Committee President AIESEC Benue 16 17. one of the greatest privileges bigoted to man has always been to serve. in service your strengths and weaknesses are brought to light, in service the road that lead to the throne is made known. know this it not an easy task as the last one year has been my most rewarding and at same time challenging year in AIESEC. In this one year I've stretched my self beyond my limits and have confronted the odds of been an LCP. with all assurance I can say this. “your experience will be bigger and better”. The Call to Lead the Fastest growing LC in Nigeria is one that demands bravery, strength of character, Tenacity and a strong Will.there is no guaranty of a smooth ride but the option to quit has never brought anyone to greatness. I know this for a fact because generations before me have been through this same journey you're about to take.You must Learn to Lead inspire and motivate yourself first, for through this can others be inspired, motivated and led by you.Finally be true to yourself, be the best version of who you are and I wish you the very best of success in your endeavors.

Basic Responsibilities:

Lead the LC towards achieving the organization's vision, mission, and strategies

Setting the strategic direction of the LC

Representing the LC on a national level.

Ensures that the LC contributes to AIESEC 2020

Is the final responsible for decisions taken at LC level.

Manages, tracks, and controls the financial sustainability and legality of LC operations

Responsible for fulfilment of the LC's membership criteria

Ensures that the LC is performing in accordance with the AIESEC Way, by planning,

tracking, and coaching VPs to guarantee their tasks are being done in a proper way.

Main Functions

Managing the LC/entity

Managing the international exchange program

Enabling and developing quality leadership experiences in members

Creating a global learning environment

Guaranteeing good financial management

Guaranteeing proper governance based on the AIESEC Nigeria compendium and the local

compendium

Setting up proper structures of advising (Board of Advisors, mentors, etc.)

Leading planning and reviewing processes

Strategic direction

Connects LC to national level to ensure LC involvement in relevant national initiatives (LCLC

and MC-LC).

Establishes year plan, MoS and budget before the start of the term, and manages re-planning

process half-way through the term

Tracks and evaluates the results together with the EB on an ongoing basis, acts accordingly to

ensure achievement of the LC plan and MoS

Ensures development of customer management processes and quality experience delivery

External relations

Represents and promotes the image of the LC at the local, national, and international level

Develops relations with representatives from other LCs in Nigeria, especially with LCPs for

national cooperation

Ensures the raising and maintaining of strategic LC partnerships inside and outside of

AIESEC

Represents the LC in the external environment through events, relations with the BoA,

alumni, corporate, and non-corporate sector, and governmental authorities

Team management

Lead the EB team

Goal-setting, tracking, and coaching EB members

Member education for EB team

Rewards and recognition for EB members

Coordinates EB team planning, meetings, and team activities

Ensuring a common direction for the EB

Endorsement Letters: 1 Endorsement from an LCP within Nigeria,1 Endorsement from a current LCVP (could be from any LC),1 Endorsement from an Alumnus of AIESEC Benue.

Personal Bio-Data: a one page document containing your personal information and contact details.

Resume: List relevant personal, professional and AIESEC experience that you need us to be aware of.

Motivational Video: a 3minutes video containing your motivation for applying for this role should be uploaded on youtube, with the link attached to your application on your summary page.

All applicants for this position must- Must have been a member of AIESEC Benue for at least 12 months

Be full members of AIESEC benue with respect to the AIESEC Benue'sCompendium.

Must not Leave the LC for more than 1 month , including GCDP, GIP programs.

Committed to serve a full year i.e April 1st 2016- March 31st 2017

Submit a complete application package on or before the deadline, No lateapplication would be accepted.

Must have had previous TMP, TLP experience.

Must have attended at least one Conference (International, National or regional).

Must have no issue before the Disciplinary Committee.

All Successful applicants would be contacted within 24 hours of successfulsubmission of application.
