SAP BusinessObjects BI4 LCM & CTS+Technical Prerequisites

CTS System: SAP Solution Manager 7.01 SP25 at least or SAP Solution Manager 7.1.– CTS plug-in installed on the SAP Solution Manager (taken from SL Toolset 1.0 SP02 at least – always use the newest

available CTS plug-in)

SAP Note 1692417 has to be implemented on the host of the CTS Deploy Web Service (for related information, see Configuring the CTS Deploy Web Service).SAP BusinessObjects BI 4.0– If you would like to use LCM with CTS integration on a BI 4.0 Support Package level earlier than Feature Pack 3 (Service

Pack 04), you have the following options: o You can deploy the BOE frontend (BOE.war) on at least SAP NetWeaver Composition Environment 7.2 SP 3 (CE) or

on at least SAP NetWeaver 7.3 AS Java. This might mean that you have to set up an additional system.

Note– If you are using SAP NetWeaver CE or SAP NetWeaver 7.3 anyhow as platform for other BI web applications, you can

for sure run the LCM on one of these servers. This does not limit the platform that you can use for BI in general to SAP NetWeaver.

– As of BI 4.0 Feature Pack 3 there are no BOE frontend deployment restrictions. You can deploy on Tomcat, for example, and configure the web service to use the CTS integration.
