2015 Case for Support
The Latino Community Association has provided assistance to Central Oregon’s Latino families for more than 14 years. Our mission is to empower our Latino families to thrive by creating opportunities for advancement and building bridges that unite and strengthen us all. Our Programs
Workforce Empowerment
Family Empowerment, and
Cultural Enrichment
These programs include services that address workforce development, education and vocational training, health and dental services, legal clinics, citizenship assistance, basic needs assistance, cultural enrichment
activities and so much more.
By empowering Latino families to meet their needs and achieve the goals they set for themselves and their children, we are fulfilling our vision of building a stronger, more resilient Central Oregon for generations to come.
Our Future
We are determined and well-positioned to advance our mission by acting on the following initiatives:
Increase office hours in
Redmond and Madras.
Strengthen and expand La Clase after-school Spanish
literacy project.
Energize and expand the Amigos Membership Program
increasing cross-cultural networking and creating new business opportunities
Establish a Latino Family Empowerment Center
Provide Childcare at the new
center while families are utilizing services.
In addition to our current services, the Empowerment Center will enable expansion of vocational skill-building, life skills, language instruction, small business development, parenting support, citizenship assistance, and asset-building tools. Additional space and new business and non-profit collaborations will make this possible.
We invite you to join our effort to make these improvements a
reality!
