Diffuse Glazing ILC• By March 3 only three laboratories had submitted data• Those data sets were incomplete, i.e. only reporting some of

the properties requested• Participants have had different issues preventing them from

reporting data

Preliminary results makes sense

• Diffuse interlayer. Blue line is more correct value measured with large sphere, red line same property measured poorly

• More scattering at shorter wavelengths matches the results

• Fritted glass with low-e coating, scattering surface closest to sphere in the graph to the right, smooth surface closest to the sphere in the left

• Larger error when there is longer distance from the scattering to the port

• The interim CGDB text file format containing information about 3 pairs of properties, reflectance, transmittance, direct, diffuse, front, and back is imported as a shade material (not using optics)

• WINDOW generates a shade layer which can be used in a glazing system
