TenPoint Crossbow Technologies TM LAZER HP TM ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS THIS MANUAL COVERS: LAZER HP TM ASSEMBLY The Lazer HP is easy to assemble. Basically, you only have to bolt the bow assembly to the stock assembly, install the foot stirrup and you are ready to shoot. Once assembled correctly, your crossbow is pre-sighted for 20-yards. Lay out the contents of your crossbow box in front of you. Be certain the box contains all of the following items before beginning assembly (photo 1): • One (1) complete stock assembly • One (1) complete bow assembly • One (1) cable saver • One (1) VIBRA-CUSH™ (pre-installed at factory) • One (1) foot stirrup • One (1) large clear plastic bag containing paperwork (including a warranty card) and one (1) other sealed plastic bag containing the main assembly bolt, Allen wrenches and a sample tube of oil. To prevent injury to yourself or others, or damage to your crossbow, read this manual along with all other operating and safety instructions included in your crossbow package before assembling, loading or using the crossbow. AssEMbLy sTEPs1. Attach the cable saver to the cables. Note: Do not attach the bow assembly to the stock assembly without the cable saver – cable damage will occur and the crossbow will be unsafe to shoot.

• Whenviewingthecablesaverfromtheside,withits“dish”(concavesurface)facingup, noticethatoneofthetwocablenotchesispositioneddeeperintothecablesaver (closertothe“dish”)thantheother.

• Becausethecablescross,onerestsontopoftheother.Thetopcablegoesintothedeeper ofthetwocablesavernotchesandthebottomcablegoesintotheshallowercablesaver notch(photo2),allowingthecablesavertomaintainarelativelylevelpositionontopof thetwocables.

• Beforeslidingthecablesaverintothebarrel’scableslot, applyadropofFlightGroove/TriggerLube(HCA-111)or Microlon’s®PrecisionOiler(HCA-11107)tothe“dish” (concavesurface)ortopofthecablesaver(thepartthat comesincontactwiththeundersideofthebarrel’sarrow flightgroove).

2. Attach the bow assembly and foot stirrup to the stock assembly as follows:

• Positionthebowstringontopofthebarrel’sflightdeck whileyouinsertthecablesaver(concavesideup)and thecablesintothebarrel’scableslot.Thecablesaver’s concavegroove(“dish”)shouldmatewiththeunderside ofthebarrel’sarrowflightgroove(photo3).

• Ensurethatthepre-installedVIBRA-CUSH™isinplace withitscutoutsidefacingthebarrel(photo4).

• Pullthebowassemblytowardthetriggerassemblyuntil theriserlocationrod,protrudingfromthefrontofthe barrelandthroughtheVIBRA-CUSH™,mateswiththe holeintheriser.Donottwistorrockthebowassembly totheextentthatyourubthecablesalongtheslightly sharpedgesofthebarrel’scableslot.Youdonotwant tocutanyofyourcablestrands.Pullingupandback slightlyonthebowstringmayassistyouinseatingthe bowassemblyontothestockassembly(photo5).

• Afteryoumakesurethemainassemblybolt’slocking setscrewisloosened,insertthemainassemblybolt andtightenitsecurelywiththeAllenwrenchsupplied (photo6).

Note: Not tightening the main assembly bolt securely will cause excess serving wear on the string. you cannot tighten the main assembly bolt enough by hand to break it! However, do not use a cheater-bar when tightening it.

• Insertthefootstirrupintothetworeceivingholeslocatedatthefront oftheriser.Makesurethe“valley”inthestirrup’sfoot-padpoints downsothatitdoesnotblockthearrow’sflightpath.Tightenthe setscrewslocatedonthebottomoftherisertolockthemainassembly boltandthefootstirrupinplace(photo7).

Note:IfyouwillbemountingtheHXInstantDetachQuiver,followthe directionsintheQuiverMountingsectionbelow.

• Youarenowreadytotest-fireyourcrossbowandfine-tuneyoursights (see appropriate Cocking, Loading & sighting sections in the general manual).

LAZER HPTM QUIVER MOUNTINGyour Lazer HP quiver mounting kit is easy to install.Thequivermountingkitcontainsthefollowingparts:

• Quickdisconnect(female)attachmentwithlever(1)• Phillipspan-headmachinescrews(2)• Quivermountingbracket(1)• 7/16-inchNylockNuts(2)*• ¾-inchsetscrews(2)*• HXInstantDetachQuiverwithquickdisconnect(male)attachment(1) *Denotespartspre-assembledatthefactory

1. Attachthequickdisconnect(female)attachmenttothequiver mountingbracketusingthetwoPhillipspan-headmachine screwsprovided.

2. Completelyremovethetwo¼-inchsetscrewsfromthebottomoftheriser(photo2).

Note:Thepre-installed¼-inchsetscrewswillonlybeusedwhenthequiverisnot mountedtotheriser.

3. Withthefootstirrupintheproperposition,placethequiverbracketassemblyoverthe twoholesfromwhichyoujustremovedthe¼-inchsetscrews.Themountingbracket holesshouldfaceforwardtowardthefootstirrup.Insertthetwo¾-inchsetscrews (withNylocknuts)intothesameholesandtighten(photo3).

4. TightenthetwoNylocknutsonthesetscrewsuntilthequivermountingbracket issecure.Usea7/16-inchopen-endedwrenchtotighten(photo4).Do not over-tighten.

5. InserttheHXInstantDetachQuiver,withmaleattachment,intothequickdisconnectattachmentandlockinplace withthelever(photo5).

Make certain your cables go into the correct slots in your cable saver.

The bow string sits on the barrel’s flight deck while the cable saver and cables slide into the cable slot.

The VIBRA-CUSH™ goes between the riser and the barrel, cutout side facing the barrel.

Pull up and back slightly on the bow string to seat the bow assembly.

Once the foot stirrup is in place, tighten all three setscrews. See below for mounting the HX Instant Detach Quiver.

Remove ¼-inch setscrews from the bottom of the riser.

Insert the HX Instant Detach Quiver into place and lock in place with the lever.

Place the quiver bracket assembly over the two setscrew holes and insert ¾-inch setscrews with Nylock nuts.

Tighten the Nylock nuts with a 7/16-inch open-ended wrench.

TheGripSafetyisasecondarysafetybuttonpositionedonthesideof thecrossbow’sfore-grip(photo1).TheGripSafetyisdesigned toencouragetheshootertoholdthefore-gripproperly–andsafely– belowthesurfaceoftheflightrailwhileshootingthecrossbow.

Operating Instructions

ToshootaGripSafetyequippedTenPointcrossbow,shoulderthebow,slidethetrigger’sbrasssafetyknobforward tothe“FIRE”(reddot)position,depressandholdtheGripSafetybutton,andsqueezethetrigger.Ifthetriggersafety isengaged(“sAFE”(whitedot)position)and/oriftheGripSafetyisnotdepressed,youcannotpullthetriggerorfire thecrossbow.

Right-handedshooterswilldepresstheGripSafety buttonwiththeleftthumb(photo2).

Left-handed shooterswilldepresstheGripSafety buttonwitheithertheindexormiddlefinger(photo3).

Ineithercase(rightorleft-handedshooting),theshooter muststillbecarefulnottoallowanypartofthefore-grip handtoworkitswayabovethebarrel’sflightdeck.

Note: Left-handed shooters have the option of having the Gripsafety converted so they can depress the Gripsafety button with their right thumb. Pleasecontact theCustomerServiceDepartmentat330.628.9245or emailyourrequestatwww.tenpointcrossbows.comfor aReturnAuthorizationNumbertoreturnthecrossbow forconversion.

Disabling or tampering with the Gripsafety will void your Warranty.
